Offense looks unstoppable, defense is suspect.

AU '10 gave up 34 at UK, 43 vs Arky the next week, 31 at Ole Miss...oh and 26 vs Arky State to start the season.

Can LSU finish it out like Auburn did in 2010? That remains to be seen. Very different offense, but it seems the mentality is basically "we can stop your offense more than you can stop ours, even if we only stop you 2-3 drives all game".

All I want is a competitive game next week.

I think LSU's defense is better than people give them credit for. They are not good all the time, but they are great when they need it most. Sounds dumb but I am sure most fans here will agree.

2010 AU offense wasn't unstoppable. Cam was uncatchable and you couldn't get the dude to the ground. When you could, he acted hurt then popped up

But Cam was a part of the...offense.

Dyer was a 1,000 yard rusher and Cam threw 30 TDs. Cam was an abnormally large part of the offense, but most offenses these days that win championships have at least one exceptional player.

Yeah, this is a pretty big part of the offense.

Cam led Auburn to some come-from-behind wins. Joe still needs those kinds of wins on his resume.

Aside from that, I can certainly see the comparisons.

Though I don't think LSU has anyone as dirty as Nick Fairley, so... not a perfect parallel.

Auburn last year.
UCF last year.
Texas this year.
Florida last week.

Or did you mean to say "come from behind wins against Bama"?

The problem with this is that you are playing in BR.

Whats interesting is our defense is mostly good, and jsut seems to have lapses a few times a game where we get killed.

Auburn's Defense was mostly bad, but Nick Farley would make enough plays here and there to get by.

Oh goodness, stop.

Bureaux is not a generational talent type QB. He is having a phenomenal season so far but it's only the halfway point and lots of games to be played.

That's the type of comment that Ls8u fans catch shite for when hyping their players.

Fornette is most recent example..that phrase was used about him as nauseam
