LSU was a pain in my sack when I was trying to get in-state tuition. Fortunately I was an athlete so they eventually waived it but it was a PITA.
Texas can afford to limit their #'s as it's one of the most sought after schools outside of Rice.

Last time I checked UF is only around $2k a semester for 12 credit hours for instate. Very affordable in that regard.

Ok a lot that we know have lots of money and it seems like dropping that for an education is not a problem. Which I would agree with, as a society we spend money on so much stuff that is insignificant that I don’t mind at all spending it on an education. And we are a middle class family

That number is wrong for UGA. It's over $10k a year tuition for in-state. UF's is still only $6300 a year.

The value of a Florida degree is amazing. You get a top 5 education for only $25,000 in-state. Shoot, some people are paying that for private HS in Louisiana.

Unless you are seeking a professional degree in something, I am challenged to see the value in graduating college with 100k+ of debt on the low end from a public university.

I was shocked that nearly half of the grads at Arkansas are out of state. Maybe I should not be. Perhaps that is normal at many other places. I did just meet two young ladies from Minnesota who just graduated from Alabama…
