Yes, because LSU has never done anything like that before.

And A&M learned from the LSU game last year. Sumlin went to KK and told him to RUN the DAMN ball more, and we went on a tear after that loss.

Why didn't they learn from the 2011 matchup?

Oh, that's right. Third time's the charm. Beat TAMU twice in Tejas, now they get to come try in Louisiana. Should be fun.

Stupid is thinking you will lose the majority of your defense and have no drop off. I've already admitted A&M will lose to Alabama because of the losses in the front seven.

But LSU fans think Chavis is simply unbeatable, no matter the circumstances.

That is a special kind of stupid

You don't really realize how many times LSU has done this exact same thing with the D do you? Its ok you'll learn.

Sure are a bunch of rattled Aggies in this LSU thread.

link?

We just think it's hilarious to think that losing some guys to the draft is a bad thing. It happens.

LSU will reload and be just as good. 2011 shows us it can be done.

The best thing is what's about to COME to LSU in 2014 and 2015. Talent is SICK!

I mean that was a part of his offense. He did a lot of power stuff too in the run game. Lots of pulling by the backside which I don't believe I ever saw A&M do this season.

TAMU doesn't have a JesusBack/Runslinger to do that with. You have to be a massive humanity to run that power stuff. State tried it with the #Relffense and I felt sorry for them.

The very concept is different. Florida and Auburn ran a run-heavy spread relient upon a downfield playaction passing game.

Neither threw the ball down field all that much.
quote:

A&M runs a pass-heavy spread with more no-back sets and a timing dink and dunk approach.

So did UF and Auburn.
quote:

A&M utilized far more designed pass plays that either of the offenses you mentioned did

And a lot of Manziel's big plays were on busted plays. He couldn't get that against LSU.
quote:

Both Auburn and Florida relied heavily upon their TEs for run blocking and pass receiving, while A&M's TE literally never saw the field.

There's a differnece.
quote:

A&M ran less than 20% of our plays out of a 2+ back set, Florida and Auburn both ran such formations in excess of 40% of the time

Now you're just pulling numbers out of your arse.
quote:

A&M uses a zone-blocking scheme, Florida and Auburn both used a man drive-blocking scheme.

UF and Auburn both used zone blocking schemes. Our line coach is a disciple of Urbans and he tried to do some of that at LSU. Les didn't like it.
quote:

Florida and Auburn relied heavily on perimeter and option runs, A&M rarely used either, employing a delayed dive run style popularized by Mike Leach.

Which is more of what UF ran. Manziel and Cam got a lot of their big plays on the perimeter.

quote:

The differences are blatant and numerous.

Not really. The concepts are still the same.

A&M joins the SEC, has great success with it and the next year LSU decides t go with a no-huddle approach?

Dumbass. LSU has used no huddle in almost every game during the last 4-5 years.

Yeah Manziel would get killed trying to do what Auburn and Florida did in regards to some of their designed QB runs.

I could get on board with this if LSU fans weren't simultaneously saying how screwed A&M's offense is for losing Joeckel.

Nobody thinks this. I fully expect the defensive line to have some struggles early on. However, our linebacking corps is as talented as it's ever been, and the secondary, while young, is very experienced from last year.

You're the idiot who thinks we'll for sure lose 4 games. LSU has lost more than 3 games just twice since Miles has been here.

The difference between those other attacks, Tebow and Cam, and TAMU last year was that Manziel can be defeated by one of those tiny children on Captain Planet.

They had bigger backs than Florida did though, so they still had a power element they coudl use. Auburn had bigger backs too, but Cam Cam Cam Cam.

I think it will hurt....OLine is the hardest position to recover from (besides QB).

But JM makes up for it with his feet. Again, in order for A&M to be taken seriously, it has to get a lot better on D.

Moody and Fat DeShawn Wynn never got done what the Runslinger did. It is the added blocker. You are missing the point.

Yall are talking more concepts and blocking. That's over my head. I was just commenting on having a guy that can pick up a 3rd and short.

A&M does have to get better on defense, which is why they have no realistic shot of beating Bama this year. The entire front seven will basically be new. Alabama will run all over them.

2014 will be a different story
