LSU rebuilds the ENTIRE defense this year. So many players wanted out of BR it was alarming. Chavis is awesome, but he's human too.

You really just don't know what you're talking about, do you?

I wouldn't want it either if A&M was destroying my team in recruiting.

Did A&M invent no-huddle?

No, but between Oregon and A&M it has reached something close to perfection. Let's not prentend like this is a coincidence. A&M joins the SEC, has great success with it and the next year LSU decides t go with a no-huddle approach? With an OC who has never employed such a style?
Not gonna read all these pages, but seriously- you mentioned Oregon. Go back and watch some clips from the LSU-Oregon game in 2011.

LSU went no-huddle at times all season long in '11, with great effect. It wasn't copying what the Ducks did (or what A&M does); LSU had/has a strong line and big, bruising backs. They beat on the defense most of the game, and every so often they kick it into no-huddle. It's like a boxer in the later rounds, looking for the KO against someone who's starting to fade.

With Mett and our line being more experienced and Hill and Hilliard being big guys, I can see them doing exactly what they did in '11 again. Think of it as a controlled tempo change, not a straight no-huddle offense.

Where did you see the word "spread" refered to in that article?

Running a HUNH offense only means you snap the ball without huddling. It's all about getting mismatches and not allowing the defense to sub out.

If an offense has a TE with the ability to lineup alongside the tackle and block or flex out and be a legit receiving option that causes a problem for the "D" if they can't matchup.

If a RB is a good enough receiver to line up wide and be a receiving option that causes problems for the defense.

With these options an offense going HUNH is tough to defend.

First play
TE alongside OT
three wide
RB behind the QB

2nd play
TE in slot
three WRs
RB alongside QB

3rd play
5 wide
QB alone in backfield

Tough for the defense to defend those offensive sets without being able to subout. Probally have to play base defense or nickle packages most of the time.

LSU will have the personell to run this offense effectively.

Look I don't blame y'all. Until you put more than 12 points on Auburn, you better be searching for answers.

Here's to Mettsiah and the no huddle.

Cannot wait to see the Texas and LSU offenses in the Fall - neither will be worth a crap

I hate to break it to you, but our offense wasn't worth a crap last year, and it was still good enough to win in College Station.
I am more worried about Ole Miss than the Shelties

This is funny. This is what these forums and chat rooms have developed. The back and forth of this thread would never go on outside of a forum like this. Someone would get their arse kicked. Guys are pretty tough on here! And 8miles I am not responding to your post, it was random. This conversation would just be a lot more fun face to face, it probably actually wouldn't take place.

Although Texas is a bigger state than Florida it is a state with a lot of poor people... thus, although there are a lot more people in Texas than Florida there are actually more cable/satellite customers in Florida than Texas

Wrong. Florida is filled with FAR more lolpoors and far more elderly which ain't target demo. Two largest growing metropolitan areas in the entire country in 2012 were DFW and Houston. Opulence. We haz it.

Y'all all go right on ahead and run those fast paced offenses. And when y'all go 3 and out, go ahead and put your defenses back on the field trying to tackle Bama's running backs. I'm not afraid of these fast paced offenses at all.

Let the Texans delude themselves long enough without a reality check, and they'll be claiming that their state actually borders France and Italy, and that Texas gave the world roads, irrigation, and philosophy.

God knew what he was doing when he put Texans in Texas.
