A&M does have to get better on defense, which is why they have no realistic shot of beating Bama this year. The entire front seven will basically be new. Alabama will run all over them.
And the positive for LSU is that we will be still power offense and run the ball. A steady dose of Hill and Blue with an experienced O-Line and Mett will be fun to watch.
Just a bonus if our D is really good and we pass better. I'm liking what I'm hearing from some of the players.

How do you figure that?
good question FWIW
Although Texas is a bigger state than Florida it is a state with a lot of poor people... thus, although there are a lot more people in Texas than Florida there are actually more cable/satellite customers in Florida than Texas

Anyway, regarding the OP's postulate.
Yes, LSU is expected to run a different style of offense. With Mett as the QB it is not expected to be a Cam Newton hurry up (with a lot of option or running QB plays). That's just not the intention. You can run a hurry up with someone as immobile as Peyton Manning

I wouldn't want it either if A&M was destroying my team in recruiting. Imagine how much worse it would get for LSU when we add some SEC hardware?

are the aggies implying that they invented the fast paced offense? can't tell if serious
No, we're saying it is more than coincidence that the year after the Texas Aggies come in and have success in the SEC with the HUNH offense, the copycat lizard eaters decide to switch to the same offense.

You have a vivid imagination.

We just finished debating this. A&M didn't bring the HUNH to the SEC. Furthermore, LSU isn't switching to your offense either.

And people say Texans are self centered
I doubt there will be any striking similarities between A&M's and LSU's offenses. Manziel is a special player who will probably again rush for more than half of A&M's rushing yardage and throw on the run. Mett is a fairly traditional QB who will almost never run more than a few dozen steps to roll out of the pocket.
LSU/Miles hiring Cam Cameron could also be argued to be a somewhat conservative hire. He's a guy with a long history with Les Miles going back to Michigan. Luckily for LSU he is an eminently qualified Offensive Coordinator with a lot of college and NFL experience. He'll run a balanced offense which is well coached and organized but he won't turn into Mike Leach or Chip Kelly if you blink.

Typical Texas Jr crap. Texas Jr might want to learn how to beat LSU before you start talking smack. I know, I know logic escapes you, but your fanbase is annoying as frick. Beat us, and then talk shite. We beat your arse on your field, and that was with a shitty offense. I can't wait to beat you guys down in BR this year.
Posted on 3/15/13 at 4:50 pm to ColoradoAg
Pretty sure we used a good amount of no huddle on second down.

The issue here is A&M's 2012 offense, which set the all-time SEC records for total yardage, yards per game, points and had a Heisman-winning QB who set individual total yardage record.
So yes, the offensive results speak for themselves. To deny that A&M was statistically the best offense in SEC history isnt a matter of opinion, it's simply factually incorrect.
yes you are right it would be factually incorrect to deny that A&M was the best offense statistically. Now lets look at A&Ms schedule.....
(#24)Florida17 - 20 (L)
SMU 48 - 3 (W)
South Carolina State 70 - 14 (W)
Arkansas 58 - 10 (W)
Ole Miss 30 - 27 (W)
(#23) Louisiana Tech 59 - 57 (W)
(#6) LSU 19 - 24 (L)
Auburn 63 - 21 (W)
(#15) Mississippi State 38 - 13 (W)
(#1) Alabama 29 - 24 (W)
Sam Houston State 47 - 28 (W)
Missouri 59 - 29 (W)
We are so proud of this elite historic Texas A&M offense for racking up yards and points on: Sam houston state, The worst Auburn and Arkansas teams in decades, South Carolina state, Louisiana Tech, SMU, Ole miss (7-6), and Missouri. Yes we all know that you beat Alabama (we hear it every week). What happened when you played ELITE defenses such as Florida and LSU? the A&M offense was so extreme and prolific!!!!

This board and thread officially sucks. We get it, lsu sucks and a&m could beat the patriots.

I didn't read all 9 pages, but don't you have to have the basic mastery of a clock to run a no huddle?

So you're saying without our Heisman-winning QB who set nearly every tngible SEC offensive record, our offense wouldnt have been as good?
The SEC did not begin in 2012.
JFF only set one of the all-time records possible for QB's in the SEC which is total yards.
But nearly all is a stretch:
Pass completions in a single year - (Leader) Tim Couch 400; followed by Tim Couch (again), Andre Woodson, Erik Ainge, Jared Lorenzen, Dusty Bonner, then Johnny Manziel at 295.
Completion pct - Johnny Manziel 67.97%; Leaders - Tim Couch 72.33%, Greg McElroy 70.93%, Wayne Peace, and Beard Leard all above 70%; then Jason Campbell and Johnny Manziel.
Passing Yards - Tim Couch 4275 yds; followed by Rex Grossman, Aaron Murray, Tim Couch (again), Ryan Mallet, Peyton Manning, Andre Woodson, then Johnny Manziel with 3706
Passing Yards per attempt - Cam Newton #1 with 10.19 Y/A; Manziel not on the list.
Passing TDs - Andre Woodson #1 with 40, Danny Wuerffel 39, Tim Couch 37, and Johnny Manziel 26 (not in top 25 QBs)
Pass Efficiency rating - Cam Newton #1 with 182.05; Johnny Manziel #21 with 155.32
Rusing Yards - Cam Newton #14 1473; Johnny Manziel #20 with 1410; Overall leading rushers are #1 Herschel Walker with 1891 and Darren McFadden with 1830.
Rusing TDs - Tim Tebow #1 with 23, Johnny Manziel #2 with 21
Total Yards - #1 Johnny Manziel 5116; Cam Newton #2 4327

Georgia has run some hurry-up no-huddle the last two years. Yes, that's before your new head-coach joined the Aggies. Kentucky ran this back in 2007. Even the Danny Wuerffel Florida teams ran it some. It's not new to the SEC.

Freaking Aggies, Dumber than a stump !
No wonder you are the butt of all jokes in Texas.

Who is A&M destroying in recruiting? I don't know why everyone thinks we are revolutionizing our offense. It looks like we will basically look the same with a quicker tempo so our offense can get a rhythm. It will not look much different

Interesting that y'all decide to implement the no huddle now after years of copying Bama's offense.
Posted on 3/15/13 at 8:00 pm to Gradual_Stroke
We haven't been copying anything troll. We started pounding the ball more when we started having issues at QB. Changing to a no huddle is not a drastic change. Our offense for the most part will look the same. We'll just be able to get plays in faster. Which means we'll probably beat the aggies even worse this year. Should look similar to our victory over A&M in the cotton bowl
