I dont think it’s a thing yet.

But the preference would be:

Alabama
Auburn
Florida

Followed by, in order:

Ole Miss
Miss St.
Oklahoma
Texas
Arkansas
Texas Am

I would be fine with Alabama and Ole Miss.

But I’d rather have more prestigious competition in OU at the end of the year.
OU is a blue blood.

Best thing that should happen would be to get back to 12 teams in the conference.

Bama is bama, usually a quite good team.

The SEC won’t let this game go away as long as the ratings are elite every year because the networks won’t let them.

Do you know something I don't know? Have they announced a 9-game schedule or are you just assuming ?

OP is in la la land. There has been no announcement as of 12/26/24 concerning SEC scheduling beyond 2025 season.

As of today and through 2025, no SEC school has any permanent opponents. What the SEC will do from 2026 on has not been decided and we are not close to consensus on that among SEC AD's and Presidents. Sankey cannot seem to get a majority of schools to even agree on playing 9 SEC games annually.

Come on. You know you want to admit it.

I just didn't grow up interacting with LSU fans in general the way I did Auburn and Tennessee fans.

You didn't have to go face LSU fans in school or at work after winning or losing. I saw more fans from teams like Oklahoma, Ohio St and Michigan than I did LSU.

And contrary to what you may think, you don't win very often. 2000-2011 was basically the only time frame. When you do win it's barely, and most games you lose badly.

How so? Aggy obviously didn't care about having Texas as a rival when they ditched you guys and joined the league in 2012.

All previous indications have been 2 permanent opponents.

1 - if we have 3 permanents, those are great. State, Auburn, Florida or Arkansas would also make sense, but those are the best 3 for us.

2 - Is this preemptive-bitching? Because I haven't heard the final word on number of games or permanents.

All SEC teams need to rotate through each other with no permanent rivalries. Its the only fair way to do it.

Not gonna dispute that Bama is LSU’s rival, but they are not Bama’s. UT and the Barn in that order.
if LSU is not your rival how do you explain the off week ahead of the LSU game EVERY year?
