Welcome home.

LSU fans, whats the deal here? Processed out or just didn't like the fit?

In almost all cases ...

When a player transfers to a lesser team, it means he wasn't wanted where he was. He's usually not wanted because either:

- He doesn't show up to work.
- He doesn't do the work.

or ...

- He disrupts work.

Congrats State on getting this kid.

He's always been a bit undersized. He may just not seen a chance to play anytime soon. I did hear he got blown up a few times in the spring game by the much bigger nose tackles.

Got dominated in the spring game. I felt bad for the kid. He obviously didn’t belong. Good thing he is transferring to a lower level of competition each day

Yeah, but what about when they leave a sinking shrimp boat?

The loss of depth for LSU is concerning.

Not in this case. He's an MSU legacy that got caught up with the glamour of LSU as a prospect. LSU is one of the top 3 programs in the country.

Interior depth on the offensive line is fine. Every linemen on the roster can play on the interior.

Tackle is the problem.

Cole has no shot to play anytime soon at LSU. Considering our line is at best, a work in progress, that's not good. Maybe he will be a late bloomer and contribute down the road for you after he gets better.

I wouldn't say that, we are typically very strong on the DL.

I hope the kid is happier close to home. He's from a Bulldog family.

Also hope he gets a lot bigger and stronger so he can contribute in the next few years.

If he plays this year State is in deep doo-doo up front, which goes against the pre-season magazine experts

I'm not sure how many we have lost, but we had about 10 more scholarship players to move on from.

He was referring to competition.

Cole just was not developing physically. He was waayyyyy overpowered in the spring game. I think he's got the right attitude about football, but his body is behind. Not sure I see him as an SEC level player, but it was only going into year 2 here. With him sitting out this year maybe he can concentrate on developing his strength/body more for year 3 at State.

We've made so many poor evaluations on the OL, it's been a struggle.

I wouldn't say he is transferring to a lower level of competition, but Smith was absolutely dominated by an early enrollee during the spring game.

Yeah, I don't think Mullen was very high on the kid.
He certainly didn't prioritize Cole's recruitment. The LSU offer shocked a lot of people.
