LSU coaches have been knowing this for a couple of months now.

this all stems from an autograph signing from 2021. the kid got hurt first game last year and was out the res of the season. such bullshite but at least this isn't something new for the coaches. they've been preparing for fsu knowing he would not be available.

That explains why they've been taking it so easy on him in fall camp.

If it’s about an autograph signing, the ncaa now knows A&M played an ineligible player for an entire season. What do they do?

Thank God it wasn't a bar napkin or some textbooks.

I'm just wondering if he knows where Wingo played before transferring to LSU.

Are you really wondering that?? I mean you think its a coincidence he mentioned it to a Misery fan?

Maybe Smith should follow the rules.

What is an improper benefit these days? You can buy anyone and any thing so must have been really bad

No one should follow the NCAA’s bullshite rules. I mean, no one really does anyway, especially the big programs. It’s why the NCAA is so butthurt over an autograph signing from years ago.

in 2021 Mason and Kayshon did an autograph signing. Kayshon and the man who organized it got into a heated disscusion. they man turned them in to the NCAA. they both had to sit out 1 game last season. Kayshon sat out his game but Mason got injured the first game of the season against FSU and was out for the remainder of the year. so he couldn't serve his suspension. now the NCAA told LSU that he has to sit out the first game of this season. now are you happy!

Try to keep up, its been explained. One month before NIL was approved by the NCAA, Maason Smith and Boutte had an autograph session they apparently received benefits for. Unfortunately illegal by a month, but not sure its "really bad."

Maason Smith and Kayshon Boutte were paid for SIGNING AUTOGRAPHS in TWENTY TWENTY ONE (TWO YEARS AGO) when they were told it was going to part of NIL - which started about the same time as the autograph session.

Total unmitigated BS. As if Smith sitting out a year with a knee injury watching his teammates wasn't 'punishment' enough.

Well actually this is one time LSU probably benefits from Mason cooperating with the NCAA. Todd Gurley got 4 games for the exact same thing. And look at Harbaugh he messed with the NCAA rather than admitting to some level two violations and talked himself into a minimum 3 game suspension and maybe more once the NCAA gets done.

If I'm Mason Smith and LSU, I'm taking to Social media to spread the BS of the NCAA and have my follows and media hound them into oblivion until they denounce the suspension. Fight Gestapo tactics with mob rule. I don't like either but the NCAA not accepting that season ending injury is punishment enough is downright petty.

How did Will Wade going scorched earth work out for him. Maason probably doesn't won't to turn a 1 game suspension into a 4 game suspension.

The way to handle the NCAA is how Auburn handled the Cam noise. A big fat FU and ignore it. Alpha dog method.
