The physicians, nurses and/or hospital aides that treated the alleged victim are self-reporters and by law must report any allegations whatsoever. Law Enforcement was contacted and the kit administered.

If you knew anything about local politics, you'd know that the new local mayor-Sharon Weston Broome-campaigned on straight-up firing the local police chief. She drummed up a ton of the urban community's support in East Baton Rouge by alleging police mismanagement, excessive force and racial bias.

She won.

She's been breathing down Chief Dabadie's neck ever since. If he or his investigators slip up-for a nanosecond-believe you me she'd be all over him like stink on sh!t. She'd use that as a pretense for his dismissal in a heartbeat. Trust when I say she's hoping and praying.

But the kid wasn't charged. It's been 3 weeks ago and law enforcement and physicians were there the same day to interview, collect evidence and statements.

In that kind of law enforcement climate, with a police chief's every move being watched like a hawk, there's no way this is gonna get handled with anything other than the white glove treatment.

Lest you forget, the Athletic Director at Duke University during all of the exotic dancer/Lacrosse alleged rape fiasco was none other than current LSU Athletic Director and Vice Chancellor Joe Alleva.

No one and I mean no one is going to underestimate the ability of this issue to blow up in their face. Not local law enforcement. Not local politicians. Not local athletics department officials. This was and is gonna be handled the right way.

But don't let that stop the SECr from convicting a kid, the legal process, the investigation, etc.

Baton Rouge police decline to pursue any charges because the accuser was found to be not credible in her accusations. It was investigated weeks ago. Here's an obligatory welcome to the dog days of summer offseason topic thread.

I'm just glad none of our incoming freshmen got arrested when a local Tigerland bar got raided in an underage drinking sting operation. 37 people got arrested, mostly for underage drinking or fake ID's
