The world just moves a little too fast for due process nowadays. No matter who you are or where you're from. We've grow accustomed to knowing as much as we want right away, and that makes cases like these even messier than they already were.
I hope it's not true, but we'll find out eventually.

Hate hearing stories like this. If the rape kit is positive for his DNA, the prior relationship will ensure that he claims it's consensual and she will claim it wasn't. If he had sex with her, he better be up front about it before the kit results come back.

Despite the past behavior of LSU posters who rejoiced at the (false) rumors that Speedy Noil has committed a felony and would be going to prison, I'll just say that I sincerely hope this kid is innocent.

Due process is in regards to their treatment by the state, not the media. Of course he will get due process. So long as the media outlets who publish this kind of information have done their due diligence to confirm with the authorities that there is, in fact, an ongoing investigation, then I don't really see how they can be faulted either.
But everyone should absolutely wait until all the facts are gathered before drawing any conclusions. These stories suck because they usually center around "he said/she said" and the truth is unlikely to be determined.
