You’d think LSU would get a favorable bubble with our fans traveling so well but the committee has fricked us the last two times we were bubble teams with very impressive resumes (05 and 11)

I wonder what was going through Todd Walker's mind watching that crappy effort. He didn't talk a lot today

I would disagree. I think you are just getting beat by better teams. LSU always plays hard.

Wasnt 50-7 the score 2 years ago? And folks say bama lives in the past.

Anyway, Yes, of LSU gets in the tourney then Bama should and i dont believe Bama should sniff the tourney. This is exactly why i dont want the college football playoff expanded. You start getting half a$$ed teams in that have no business in a championship setting.

The bubble could bounce towards AL or GA if they keep winning

I thought we were in before the game. But, we looked really bad. I wonder if that leaves a bad last impression for committee members watching.

A few quotes from yesterday.

quote:

“Well, I don’t have a vote, but I hope so,” LSU coach Paul Mainieri said about his postseason chances. “If you’re asking me if we’re one of the best 64 teams in the country, I feel that way. We’re tied for eighth place in the SEC and, yes, we lost this game. But I hope the whole season doesn’t come down to how you did in one game against an opponent.

“The selection committee has a tough job to do, and I know that, but I think our RPI speaks for itself,” he added. “We played arguably two or three of the toughest schedules in the country and we’ve done a lot of good things. I would hope we get invited to the big dance, but we’re at the mercy of the selection committee at this point.

“I believe we did enough, but it’s not a good position to be in. It’s not good to be at the mercy of the committee.”

UGA is in a similar spot.

quote:

“Absolutely. I think we’re absolutely in,” Georgia coach Scott Stricklin said. “I had said before this was virtually a play-in game. Us and LSU have the same records.

“That being said, LSU deserves to be in. Their strength of schedule is third in the country. Their RPI is in the top 25, and they are definitely one of the top 64 teams in the country.”
