And you've been here 3 years.

Find a melt.

At the very least, we will keep going through coaches until we find one that will win a championship.

Like as not, Saban will leave the program in a better position upon his exit than any other coach since Wallace Wade, and we will have the money and all other benefits to attract a top notch coach. Athletic decisions have, for the most part, been removed from the hands of boosters and in to the hands of professionals in the athletic department. I feel pretty confident that whoever follows Saban will be competent, motivated, and put in a very, very good position to succeed.

I'd rather Saban get #6 at Bama. That way we'd have two coaches who won six each, which is four times what Le Slagpit U has done with "tr
hree in a row" (encompassing 17 seasons).

Furthermore, the TIDE has won National Championships in the 20s, 30s, 60s, 70s,90s, 2000s, and 2010s (Notice how I left off 1941!) with multiple titles in all but two of those listed decades.

ETA: In before "but muh footballs only started in 2000.

I don't doubt that at all.

The biggest key though is getting a coach and AD who will keep the boosters out.

LSU rantards can say what they want about Alleva, but he refused to let boosters back in control.

And he got it right.

That's why I'm wary of Woodward. After the Aggy/Jimbo situation, I fear he doesn't have the balls to tell boosters to go frick themselves.

Which we've had since Emmert and Saban.

Byrne isn't some slackjawed pawn of Finis St. John. We will be fine on that end; we've escaped the 80's and 90's.

They haven’t, and they can’t. Unlike Bana, LSU football is bigger than any single coach.

Alabama has won national titles with 5 different coaches in 8 different decades.

You literally ended up firing him.

So, while Miles won a national title, he also turned into a guy who got fired from his job. Not sure how that's too much different than having a title winning coach, he leaves, then hiring a guy who gets fired.

Uhhh wut.

Both Tom Landry and jimmy johnson got fired.

You’re an idiot

Could you please explain in painstaking detail to Arkansas fans how you did this? We've had… issues in the past.

Because Tom Landry's last 4-5 teams stunk. So, like I said, is it any different if Tom Landry is the coach of those bad teams or if Rich Kotite is the coach?
