Why should it be hard for a school to follow the same contact rules in place with recruits who haven't signed a FAA?

Again, my point is why even allow this if it's going to bite everyone in the arse? Would make it even more simple. In recruiting, you take advantage of every opportunity you have.

When we offered him the FAA he was going to be an early enrolle. I still dont see how you cant grasp how this is a terrible rule. You are in compliance right up til the point another party makes a separate decision. That is unreal that people actually wrote that rule

but without this rule schools could just go convince several 5 stars not even considering their program at the time to sign one of these just so they could have unlimited contact with them.

But if they aren't considering the school why would they sign it giving someone they don't want to talk to unlimited access to them?

The local rag takes a woe is me approach like most LSU fans but the violation is pretty clear cut

The writer is a Mississippi state fan, not lsu.

You are so informed.

Lol. A school sanctioned because a recruit decides not to go there?

So, to recap, we miss out on a recruit AND get sanctioned after the fact because of it?

Seems like a dumb rule. Basically the NCAA setting up a school to break a rule.

What confuses me is why is the NCAA not doing anything with their rule, but the SEC is?

But LSU knew they could have gotten bitten in the arse by this rule and still went ahead and risked it.

Let the NCAA bite us.

The SEC office should stay out of it

It's absolutely ticky tack bullshite. But its the same ticky tack bullshite every other team had to deal with.
