LSU has Lane, Utx has $$$$, and Tide has history.

Why is Kentucky ALONE at the top of the SEC?

Discuss.

Because (for the most part) they have played mistake free football. And that is the key.

It seems helpful for your team to not shoot themselves in the dick against unranked opponents.

Backloaded schedule. Tennesee, Florida, Missouri, and Louisville left.

They wont come out unscathed.

Unfortunately for UK, they don't hand out trophies in week 8.

They don’t beat themselves. Won close games by coming back late in games.

The way you beat Kentucky is by being physical. Setting the tempo and temperature of the game.

They take care of the ball, eat clock, and play clean. Sign of well coached team.

They don’t have the talent to go past second round of playoff.

Still unbelievable to be in the spot they’re in. Good job stein.

Agreed, but when was the last time the leader in the SEC after week 8 was not in the national Top 10 polls?

They are well-coached and don’t make mistakes. It’s really impressive for a newly constructed roster.

Obviously a dig, but I'll take a high road. Stein has done a great job. Coach of the Year, potentially.

Kudos to the cats on a great season so far.

You might be right. Tennessee, Florida, and Missouri aren't going to roll over, and nobody with any sense is guaranteeing Kentucky will run the table.

But here's what I find entertaining. Every week, somebody predicts Kentucky is about to get exposed. Every week, the deadline gets pushed back.

And now we're hearing that Kentucky is only sitting atop the SEC because of a backloaded schedule.

Here's a thought. Maybe Kentucky is alone at the top because everyone else has already lost more conference games.

I know seeing Kentucky above Alabama in the standings is confusing, especially since this is football and not basketball, but I promise it's not a computer glitch. Try turning your phone upside down. You'll feel better.

Why is om ahead of us when we were in our 1st away game and it was their Super Bowl? That's just the beginning

They have the better coach.

If you don't have the talent then the coaching and play calling keeps them in the games.
