Looks like I was right and the TRO does not provide permanent protection for LSU if they play the players and the SEC decides to enforce penalties later on.

Players don’t care because they will be gone before the case is decided. Will LSU care about risking $25 million of tv revenue?

So is Ole Miss still going to play Trinidad?

Funny that you think only LSU has to worry about this

I can guarantee LSU only plays these kids if there’s no future threat from NCAA

Now, OM and Chambliss is another story - you have no choice

My understanding is that nothing prevents a school from signing these players. However, whether those players are actually eligible to compete is a different matter altogether.

The SEC can’t retroactively penalize a school for playing then eligible players.

Lol you're a fricking idiot if you think only LSU will add players.

And the conference doesnt retroactively punish teams once they are declared ineligible later. Alabama just had this happen last year with no punishment.

Looks like you're wrong.

See how that goes for the SEC when they sue half of their league under an arbitrary punitive reaction clause made last minute for a situation they got caught with their pants down on.

Threats have been made. Retribution has been promised.

It's time for Kiffin to show us what a trailblazer does when the gates of hell are promised. And yes, Lane, I have my popcorn.

CFP won't let them in with pro players.

Going to be rough when they have to forfeit all those games later too.

If LSU did decisions well, they wouldn't be LSU.

Saying the SEC will abide by court orders:

1. likely means they will not try to push future punishments if teams play players while TRO is in effect

2. does not mean they may not pursue formal court hearings

They didn't punish Alabama for playing Bediako. They simply went back to court and got the TRO removed.

What’s your source? Because Dellenger is likely getting off the record info from the SEC office that they can.

People need to stop bringing up Trinidad and Bediako: those were NCAA only cases. The SEC has no rule against 6th year players. They do have a rule now against NFL players and the punishment is against the school not the players which means it can be enforced even after the player is gone. There was no SEC rule against Bediako at the time so again that is apples and oranges.

Try to keep up
