This is similar to the Bama playing the G Leaguer last year. There were threats that Bama would have the games he played in not counted, but in the end, they were just threats.

LSU or any other school/coach could then take the SEC to court and sue them for punishing them for playing what at the time was an eligible player.

Could the SEC try and implement those punishments? Sure. Would they win in court? Likely not seeing as the injections make the players eligible.

If the trial happens mid season like in the Bama case last year, and the player loses, the school would immediately get my need to remove the player to avoid penalties. That would make sense.

Exactly.
The SEC actually didn't even make threats specifically about playing the player while the TRO was in place. If I remember correctly, that was maonly just social media speculation.

They simply honored the TRO and pursued further court action and got the TRO removed.

For the umpteenth time, the SEC had nothing to do with Bediako or Chambliss because there was no conference rule against it at time.

Now there is an SEC rule that punishes schools who sign NFL players. So stop using what happened in NCAA cases as precedent.

People need to stop bringing up Trinidad and Bediako: those were NCAA only cases. The SEC has no rule against 6th year players. They do have a rule now against NFL players and the punishment is against the school not the players which means it can be enforced even after the player is gone. There was no SEC rule against Bediako at the time so again that is apples and oranges.

Try to keep up

Incorrect.

Based on what happened in the Bediako case, I'd expect a similar outcome here.

The SEC, like the NCAA, will attempt to get the temporary restraining orders removed through the courts.

But -- and basing this on how they approached the similar Bediako case -- they won't punish for anything happening during the period the TRO is in place.

If LSU did decisions well, they wouldn't be LSU.

Surely you aren’t saying that a career Louisiana politician; an athletic director who was reprimanded and suspended for covering up sexual assault; a narcissistic coach who has been fired by the Raiders and Alabama, has left every job he has had in flames, and has now abandoned his playoff team twice; and McNeese State’s former president who has been at LSU for less than a year won’t make the best decisions?

If the decision makers at LSU believed this they wouldn’t be gambling the future of LSU just to win a game dude.

I don't think you understand the gravity of the situation. This isn’t a LSU has a decision to make. This all rolls back up hill.

Playing Trinidad isn’t even close to this situation
Rationalize this to these college kids that have worked tails off to earn an opportunity to play
And then get kicked to the curb
It’s all about the timing

Fine with me. It’s fun. It will only get better when LSU starts picking off all of your teams one by one.

If your issue is with timing, take it up with the NCAA.

GTFO with this “college kid” shite. Chambliss is only a college kid because of a made up illness and a Mississippi judge. Him playing LITERALLY breaks the 5 for 5 rule.

It’s a violation of NCAA rules. It’s the exact same situation except that LSU isn’t Bama and never will be.
