So much of the show is an 11/10. I really like it. Season 1 as a whole is really compelling.
The story development in Season 2 hits a wall and trips and falls but eventually gets back up to season 1 level. They have a fine line to thread between holding back and giving reveals. I felt annoyed at times, just going in circles. The writers seem pretty scared to screw it up. So I get them playing it very slow, but it does make it exhausting to watch at times
The Show works best because of the chemistry and strength between the 4 workers working together. When they split them up it gets much weaker as a whole.

Binged it today, home sick
It started strong then just sucked big time ...
Getting away from the good guy bad guy chase was a dumb 'move, didn't care about all the other characters except the established ones. the forced trans thing was so fricking dumb it distracted from the flow of the show, it's like someone nonstop toxic farting your face while trying to eat an amazing meal at nice steakhouse.
Disappointed, still will watch to see how it ends, but the show went waaaaay down for me.

Whiplash is mesmerizing ... one of the best small scale character films of the last 20 years. Performances are fire, direction / editing is just fantastic

Remember seeing this in high school with a bunch of friends, and all of us laughing so freaking hard at Ryan Reynolds opening in the fat suit lip syncing "I Swear", whole movie is great.

Well They only signed 9 of the Top 50 players in the state. For school with deep pockets, that's pretty bad.
If I were Texas I would NEVER leave the state to recruit unless the was massive mutual interest
I think 9/15 is pretty good for Louisiana
Although I am suspect of our evals in recent years, but we have a better coaching staff right now.

Color me jaded but hot-take incoming,
I thought the leads were SO OVERRATED. I think maybe it was the politics / actress themselves bleeding through, they both felt disingenuous. Even though the voices are absolutely top notch, I was still searching to connect to them, there was something hollow / flat about it. When the Broadway gals cameo the energy instantly went to another level and the magnetism was immediate. Makes you see why the stage show took off.
But Absolutely Phenomenal "Set Design, Costumes, Cinematography". Quite an achievement for a "fantasy" movie musical. CGI enhanced it, didn't make it feel plastic. Felt very alive. Could have trimmed the fat, and made it 25-30 minutes shorter.
