Fantastic movie, wife (non reader) went in completely blind “Is this a war movie or something?” And loved it.
Felt like they nailed Rocky’s tunnel in the Hail Mary.

What sound machine are you using? The Dohm machine is the best IMO for this issue

Fantastic!
In other news, my kids’ track meet today was accompanied by a controlled burn a few blocks over. Needless to say, no PRs were had today.

Covered my spring garden with storage containers and tarps, vast majority of peas and radishes made it through single digit wind chills.
Now the task is to keep everything healthy through the next few days near 90.

And next week will be crazy hot in much of the Country.
I covered my Spring garden the last two days and will try to keep it from roasting the next week

36 and snowing here in the Ozarks, will be about 19 in the morning.
Covered my peas and cool season flowers, spent about an hour pulling tarps and storage containers.
We will see how hardy my peas are.

I always use extra sterlite type storage containers, and they can cover multiple plants at once.
I’ll also pop a stake or several and drape a tarp over an entire section. The 3ft stakes keep the tarp from smothering the plants.

Honestly, consider trusting the process.
I checked again, and 5:42 1600 is currently top 50 in the US for 8th grade girls (separate rankings for 8th graders under HS Girls and MS Girls). This includes Club runners.
I saw a girl out of Huntsville ran a 5:26, but she’s currently 14th in the US so maybe a poor comparison.

8th grade?
I just checked MileSplit and 5:40 would easily put her top 5 in the state in Alabama.

What leadership is going to emerge willing to clean this mess up?
I’m all for killing those needing killing, but not sure this makes sense if the goal is organic change.

I ran. I have 3 kids in track and XC (one in college) and this post hits home.
It’s pretty common honestly for kids to stall during the season, honestly surviving the season is a win. My son is a great runner and end of season is often a let down, PRs usually come early to mid season.
Some runners do better with tons of mileage, others with more intensity - figure out which she is and hope the coach adjusts.
For extra training, the big things that helped my kids:
Nordic Curls: Bulletproof hamstrings and extra kick. After a few months, my miler was fast enough to join the 4x4 crew.
Facepulls: Helped get rid of the shoulder exhaustion in the 800
Trap Bar Deads: Kids got plenty strong and stayed injury free.

Planted tomatoes and peppers today, decided to start with 3in pots instead of trays this year.

Since Walmart started carrying ProMix, that’s mostly what I use for OTC.
For tomatoes and peppers, I don’t bother with starting mix, I just use ProMix and add a little vermiculite.
Garden Status, Ozarks:
-Tons of Yarrow ready for the yard, as I’m slowly converting my steep backyard to yarrow.
-Flower starts ready to plant once this severe weather is over (Viola, Blanket Flower, Globe Amaranth, Marigolds)
-Peas direct sown last Friday are up, let’s hope for no hail
-Lettuce trays are about 2wks out from garden transplant
-Starting tomato and pepper seeds today.

I’m convinced it’s incredibly under diagnosed and unappreciated for men and actually a driver of ED, premature ejaculation, and what many men diagnosed with “prostatitis” are actually dealing with.
Hypertonic PF is more likely to impact fit men, and stress is a big driver too.
I had some testical pain a few years ago that cascaded into classic “prostratitis” symptoms. Urologist said there was no infection and threw meds my way. Since my first symptoms came right after a heavy deadlift session, I did some online research and I started gut smashing and doing PF release work and resolved the issues on my own.

I might not mow my back yard till April. It’s loaded in Heals All and I actually spread 50lbs of Crimson Clover last month. Gradually converting as much as I can to Yarrow and Ajuga.
I keep the edges trimmed.

The other part is that the way it has all gone down over the last year has been frustrating and messy. No consistency, constantly having to pivot and change business strategy, disrupting business at the drop of a hat. If there is a reciprocal tariff on a country to level out the playing field, ok. And it stays consistent. Ok. But that hasn’t been the case. Changing tariff amounts constantly, sweeping blanket tariffs…..so confusing, bad in the short term for American businesses, putting some businesses under……chaos.
THIS
The constant change makes it impossible to hit a financial plan since the cost swings are never in forecast. Also, many companies have to finance a portion of input costs, so the interest eventually catches up to you if cash flow isn’t just right.
I’ll ask my commodity guys how they are pivoting and they’re like “Do I really pivot based on a tweet?”
Everything we manufacture is in a US plant, but intl components are unavoidable
