Saban left for the Dolphins. Majority of LSU fans were happy for him. Saban improved himself.... OLE PISS's vagina's were hurt. LMK improved himself by going to LSU. Very simple process...

No fanbase in history ever turned on a coach as dramatically as LSU fans turned on Nick Saban. Twenty years later and it is still something they struggle with daily.

I think it is because it confirmed something they know deep down - as the poster noted - it was an improvement moving from LSU—>Dolphins—>Alabama.

Saban and his wife talk FAVORABLY about LSU all the time. Majority of LSU fans do the same towards them, also. Very simple logic.

This surprises you? I honestly forgot how quick they turn on their players for the new shiny thing. Sad excuse for a fanbase.

You were saying…

quote:

There comes a moment during the burning of a college football coach in effigy when even some intoxicated fans realize they've gone too far. It wasn't during the "Burn, Saban, Burn" chants Friday night. Or when the Mike the Tiger mascot paraded around the bonfire and lit the Saban scarecrow on fire. Or even when the flames got so hot they melted alway the police tape within seconds and forced the crowd to retreat a little.

No, the tipping point came when the Saban scarecrow vanished in flames within two minutes, leaving a couple hundred people cheering for a burning cross. It was at that moment that a few of the couple hundred LSU fans acknowledged how disturbing their ritual had become.

You say this, but I know plenty of fans who felt he simply made a business decision at the time and wanted to try his hand at the next level. I, for one, have never disliked Saban because of what he did for LSU during his time here. I’ll always appreciate what he accomplished and the impact he had on the program.

As for Daniels, I don't believe this is coming directly from him. I suspect it is more of a decision being pushed by his family, and I think it's a mistake. If LSU has to stop using his name, image, and likeness, then so be it. I just don't understand why anyone would make such a big deal over something as petty as a jersey number.

I’ve never seen Tim Tebow make an issue out of another player wearing his No. 15 at Florida. I also can't imagine Joe Burrow or his family making a big deal if another LSU player wanted to wear No. 9. To me, a jersey number is just a jersey number. There are much bigger things to worry about.

And an ALABAMA fan poisoned a sacred tree in Auburn. All fanbases have idiots. The majority of fanbases have common sense...

He also left on Christmas Day after saying he wasn't going to leave.

Then eventually went to a hated division foe and haunted us.

We all knew how good he was and it terrified us with him going to Bama. I think it's the same way Ole Miss feels right now. I don't blame them for hating Kiffin. I just hope they don't become hysterical and throw shite and instigate violence. They're teetering right now.

Nobody has yet to explain why they cant make a heisman number an honorary number?

LSU isn't going to give number 7 to some pimple headed spoiled recruit.

Kiffin needs to intervene and become the people's hero by making an agreement between both parties.

face the facts LSU: you want to use Jayden Daniels picture as part of recruiting graphics

Might be a reach to say a majority of LSU fans speak "favorably" of Saban. A lot have healed enough to go from negative to neutral but positive might be a bridge too far.

Heard an LSU fan say a couple days ago that "LSU made Nick Saban" and I almost died laughing.
