LSU fans do you care about being #1?

If it were my team I would prefer to be #2 going into the CFP. Since the CFP started, the #1 seed has yet to win the CFP. The 3 seed also hasn’t won the CFP. 2014 and 2017 the 4 seed won and all the other years the 2 seed won.

Its not the number I care about. Rather the way the numbers are decided. Really inconsistent and makes little sense.

Not really. To be the best you have to beat the best and if we clear the remaining schedule this team will go down in the history books

True the 4 seeds that one were OSU and Bama who at the time needed help by the committee to even get in.

Not really. WE either beat the teams or we dont. You cant compare LSU/Clemson/Ohio St. at this point.
Nobody really knows who is the better team or the "more complete team". Only idiots claim they know.
It will we fun to watch. If we aren't the best than so be it.

It sucks to lose 1 for no great reason, but meh. Any team that beat these Clemson and OSU teams would unquestionably be the best of the best. I think it would be good motivation going into the break before the playoffs.
ETA: I bet most of you thought we would all lose our shite over this.

I think it’s a bullshite reason to lose the top spot but honestly I don’t hate it for us.
It’s going to put another chip on this teams shoulder. They’ve been looked down upon all year and they play better mad. Its bullshite and the team should be pissed off about it and I like them pissed off

Truthfully, the rankings don’t mean shite. Be in the top four and you’re golden. Kinda perturbed that even though LSU handily won their game, and OSU struggled mightily against a Penn State that consistently shot themselves in the foot, OSU jumped a spot.

Big gap between us and #2 in my opinion, but maybe it’s the purple and gold glasses. Don’t remember being overly concerned in any game this year. Not trying to be cocky, just confident in our ability to outscore any opponent.
