Florida looked great vs FAU. Then again you had the same score last year in your home opener with Sunbelt Billy.

The majority or should I say the smart fans, aren't claiming a natty.
This lsu team should be around a 10 win team.

Aren't good teams supposed to beat the shite out of bad teams? Don't know if Clemson is good or bad, but at this point it doesn't matter.

Did LSU look good? Sure. Any team can look good for one game.
Florida beat FSU (who beat Alabama) pretty handily last year with an interim coach and Interception Lagway, but we were terrible.
We will know a lot more in a couple of weeks, but I’m still sticking with an 8-4 or 9-3 season for LSU.
So, I’ll ask once again: Are we, as fans, not allowed to be excited about a dominant performance in the first game of the season, especially when so many teams experienced the usual first-game struggles and jitters? Or is the standard somehow different when it comes to LSU? I’m genuinely just trying to understand the apparent double standard on this board. There’s nothing wrong with enjoying and appreciating a great performance while still recognizing that it’s only one game.

Fans are being fans.
Oh well.
Oh well.

this mindset is so dumb.
If we won close, people would say, wow LSU and Clemson are good. But if we win big, it turns into, LSU sucks but Clemson is just so much worse.
Look at how people react to the Ole Miss game. They squeak by and suddenly UL is a good team. Both teams looked bad. I wish UL and Clemson played each other but I think they are pretty comparable.

Right! We got the whole season left! Who besides the media would put us in the National Championship Game just because we look like a heavyweight champion doesn't mean we are there yet... I liked what I saw! Quite a difference in this team and the bltk team of the past several years??????????

Now, back to what we are discussing in this thread, LSU fans are in for a rude awakening when they play SEC teams.
Based on Saturday’s performance, why is LSU supposedly in for a “rude awakening” when they start playing SEC teams? Are the other SEC teams that had dominant performances against teams such as Texas State, Missouri State, Florida Atlantic, Louisiana-Monroe, East Carolina, Kent State, Tennessee State, North Alabama, and UTEP also in for a rude awakening when they face conference opponents?
I’m genuinely just trying to understand the standard being applied here. If the argument is that you can’t draw any conclusions from a dominant performance against an out-of-conference opponent, that’s perfectly fair. But shouldn’t that same standard apply across the conference? I’m just trying to determine whether this is an LSU-specific thing or if we’re applying the same reasoning to everyone.

LSU beat Clemson worse than several in this conference beat their cupcakes.

He is the very opposite of Napier
Napier was quite and shy he is a Monster energy poster child.
He knows he does call the plays on offense.
He actually hired a good staff instead of thinking he can do it all.
He does not have 2 Oline Coaches who somehow both suck.

It's impossible.
This is an LSU vs everyone else troll board. Everyone else will try to downplay LSU, LSU fans will try to oversell LSU. Just the way it goes.

Remember this….2019
Hahahah, LSU beats Texas and thinks they’re gonna win the Natty.
LSU beats UF, OM, Auburn and Alabama….hahaha, those teams are down this year. No way LSU wins a Natty.
No way LSU beats Clemson.
LSU was just lucky.

I do remember it quite well. I'm not going to argue with these delusional clowns over LSU being good or not. The team can speak for themselves on the field.
