I think every team in the division should have to play the same division opponents though. It's BS when UGA gets to the SECCG because they didn't have to play Bama or LSU.

I'm ok with it
although we are 7-13 against them in the last 20 years.

Kinda like when LSU doesn't have to play Tennessee, UGA, or USCe?
And how many times have those teams won the SEC in the past 6 seasons?

I enjoy when we play them.

I can't help but be pessimistic when it comes to Bama and LSU
FSU and UGA?

FSU and UGA?

I definitely want to play them every year, and will be pissed when the day comes that it stops.

I'm OK.
If we must have a permanent rival, then I find it acceptable.
The Big 6 are paired off this way. LSU has played Florida most every year since 1953. Nobody bitched about it until Spurrier made the Gators into contenders.
And we've had some epic contests against the Gators. There's no school (besides Bama) that it feels more satisfying to beat.
But I'm not at all in love with 6-1-1 because of the reduced rotation.

I can see the point of people that want the 6-2 model in order to play everyone in east more regularly, but I am fine with playing UF every year. Our recruiting in FL would prolly suffer a little bit if we didn't play them every year for one.
I have more of a problem with a 9 game conference schedule. I would prefer 10 games over 9 games. If anyone thinks a team gets an unfair advantage with schedule now, it will be worse when you are battling in your division with 5 SEC road games against someone with 4 on the road

Exactly. I'm not bitching that we have to play UF each year. Move us to the East or them to the West, I don't care.
I just want a 6-2 or a 6-2-1

I have been to every LSU/Florida game since 1995. I love it.

Is it equitable? No, but this game has helped LSU out A LOT recently. Winning against UF is nationally respected and helps LSU. To be the best, you must play the best. I say keep.
ETA: To be perfectly honest, I'd feel a bit left out is LSU did not play UF every year. The games are always intense (save this year) and why should another west team get the nod over LSU?

I have a feeling UF is going to be down for a bit, it's going to be fun returning some of the 90's beatdowns. The jump pass last year was just the tip of the iceberg. Boom is in way over his head in Gainsville.

I'm making my first trip to a football game in Gainesville this year. Been in town several times but not for a game. Can't wait.

When was the last time one of those teams won a national championship? Yeah, '98...but I think you get my point. we have not had much trouble with those teams as of late
