I had such high hopes Kevin Faulk would deck Dabo though

Oh bull. OBJ put them in an untenable situation. They shouldn't have to sit at all.

Give the money to charity, ban OBJ from having access to the team in the future, and enjoy the title.

It’s a damn shame the racist culture at UGA chased off Fields.

Yes, but occasionally the NCAA likes to make an example out of someone.

Alabama is brazen about paying players, but they (Saban) have connections in high places within the NCAA.

Coming after LSU will give the appearance that the Emmett and Company are really tough on rules.

Think USC 2004.

If that was in fact real money, this is going to be considered a significant NCAA violation by a booster kind of scenario. At a minimum, they may have to formally disassociate with OBJ and outline some action plan to the NCAA for future compliance. I doubt any of the players get suspended unless some pattern is established of this being an ongoing thing at LSU with other boosters and former players.

Should have done this years ago.

A player that represents your school was paying players in public along the sidelines.

He got a sideline badge from LSU.

So we're just going to ignore that OBJ has a screw loose, is probably in the late phases of the effects of CTE, is painfully immature, was $hit-faced, and acted alone? Ok.

If they give LSU even a minor infraction over OBJ I would ban him for life from LSU. You didnt see other former LSU players acting like idiots after it was over

That guy is all about himself. This should have been a great celebration for a GREAT season and he stole all that from the team because he's an extremely selfish individual. OBJ is about OBJ and that sucks for lswho!!

Are Saban's connections within the NCAA any higher than LSU's AD being Emmert's son-in-law?

LSU is untouchable in the eyes of the NCAA, moreso than Saban/Bama.

Why is LSU always in the middle of these scandals. You cant win anything without some kind of issue around it.

A booster handing out cash on the sidelines? Well, not a real good look...

It didn't help when the school came out with an official statement saying it was fake money, then your star QB contradicted them.

This isn’t true. A reporter asked an AD employee and he said they believed it was fake but They were going to look into it. That second part never made the papers but was said... regardless that wasn’t an official statement.

The official statement addressed the issue head on.

I really don't understand how anyone with reasoning ability can think that something that happened after a game went final would have any affect on that game. If burrow had said it was real cash and he's done it all season then there MIGHT have been an issue

Have you met the UGA fans on this board? They're full of butthurt and short on smarts.

Uh, Cam fricking Newton’s dad shopped his arse around before winding up at Auburn...which is the last time y’all win anything. I hope you were joking.

The title isn't going anywhere unless they find out some crazy shite has been going on. OBJ will probably be disassociated though. No one will be talking about any of this in about a month or so.

I doubt anything will, unless it happens again and then the NCAA will slam you as that's their textbook definition of "lack of institutional control".

At worst, OBJ will be banned from field passes for football events handed down by LSU's compliance dept.
But then again, why the frick are your jimmies so rustled at 6:18am?
