Coaching isn’t the problem at LSU. The fans with unrealistic expectations wanting LSU to be like Bama and Saban are the problem. Temper your expectations. You are not a Bama level program and never have been
And that's why you'll always be losers

Nick Saban

2001 10-3 SEC Champs
2002 8-5
2003 13-1 SEC and National Champs
2004 9-3
That would get Nick fired now if he had another down year in 2005.

LSU, in the early ‘90s, was some of the worst football ever played in SEC history.

While there’s no historical reason to see LSU as an elite level program, the last 3 coaches all won a natty. That counts for something.

Past 20 years, LSU absolutely has a claim.
In all honesty, that's what matters today.

His tenure is on par with Sabans tenure at LSU.
What was the state of the program when Saban got the job and when O got the job? How was the state of the program when Saban left compared to O's departure?
This is Ed Orgeron's 8th year being full time head coach (interims not withstanding) and of those 8 years 2019 was the significant outlier and 2018 was pretty good too. He had Burrow both those years with Aranda and Ensminger backing him up. He's responsible for the first non-winning season at LSU since Dinardo

You don't get it cause you are not in it everyday like we are. The bolts were rattling and the wheels were coming off. No one here excepts LSU to be Bama. What we do expect is at a minimum 9-3 a year, and it was clear the path we were on that was not attainable.

Another post from a guy who doesn't want LSU to have a good head coach.
I get it, LSU having a James Franklin or a Luke Fickell is terrible for Arkansas. It would cause your complete irrelevancy to get even worse.

No one in the country is an Alabama level program, but no shame at all in doing everything you can to try and get there.
Teams like Arkansas are the ones with this mentality

why would you not want to have high expectations?
Whats the point of playing if you dont want to win it all?

But you try, every year.
You are essentially saying with this post "oh well we cant really win", maybe thats why Arkansas is kind of shitty, this attitude infests your program

Exactly. You don’t get better by benchmarking a loser program. You benchmark against the best.
More than any other program not named Bama, LSU has proven since 2001 that we can and should aim for national titles, and nothing less.

For as much grief as I give LSU, Arkie and or Aggie fans giving them any advice on how to build a program is beyond laughable.

It’s not about bama, it’s about trying to be elite and staying at the top
Figures a fan of shitty arse Arkansas can’t grasp that

Saban left, he would have absolutely went on a run. Hell he arguably wouldn't have done so well at Bama without the inroads he made in LSU's recruiting area. As LSU currently is second in NC's this century, nothing suggests that we can't sustain quality teams.
