LSU over this time frame 259-120-1 for a .683 winning pct. averaging 8.6 wins a year. Won west outright 6 times or once every 5 years. Won SEC 5 times or once every 6 years. Won 3 Natl Titles or once every 10 years.
Ed O has a .742 winning pct and 3 out of his 4 full seasons were above LSUs average in the modern era of SEC football including an SEC and National title. His tenure is on par with Sabans tenure at LSU.
Coaching isn’t the problem at LSU. The fans with unrealistic expectations wanting LSU to be like Bama and Saban are the problem. Temper your expectations. You are not a Bama level program and never have been

And they're so proud of their high expectations

Boring
Let us do us and you do you. Obviously the way we handle things works (or at a minimum has “worked out”).
If Bama or Florida want to give us tips and advice, fine….but the day we start listening to Arkansas and A&M fans about how to build a program is the day I’ll be worried about our program.

LSU is looking for sustained superior performance. Not superior performance once every few years

It's unrealistic to expect LSU to not get shithoused by teams like 2020 Auburn or 2020 State or 2021 Kentucky?
It's unrealistic to expect a coach to be at least somewhat professional?

Nothing suggests y’all can have that. Even Saban couldn’t sustain it
Miles was the closest LSU got to a sustained 10+ win a year program

So much stupidity in one post. Not even sure where to start, but you realize there is a world of difference between benchmarking Saban/Bama and achieving .500, yes?
Ed himself said he’s been given everything he needed at LSU and he’s been treated impeccably well by the school, and he didn’t get it done.
Not sure how you know more than that.

I love when fans that have never seen their team win a national championship give advice to those who have.

Why wouldn't we be? It's lead to championships.
Maybe if Aggy's AD wasn't run by beta/omega males, you'd have more than 1 football title in the last 82 years.

From 1995 to around 2015 Bama and LSU were equal programs. You’d have a hard time saying otherwise. Really LSU and bama were on the same level in the 80s as well. Nobody’s on Alabama’s level right now though and nobody will be until Saban retires.

Having no hopes for your program to never win anything meaningful must suck. I don't want LSU to be like Arkansas if this is true.

Nothing like a fan of a program telling other fanbases how they should act when both programs are drastically different in terms of accomplishments.
Furthermore, since the same year Arkansas has been through more coaches.

This is far from proven given the sample size.

It’s incredibly far from common sense. It almost seems like it was intentionally stupid.
