A very interesting and sassy way to explain all of the empty seats in Tiger Stadium and Joran-Hare yesterday. Your grandfathers are ashamed of you. Might be time to grow a pair.

I’m not ashamed to admit I’ve gotten soft

If I was 18 I would have stayed out there shirtless, but those days are behind me. Don’t blame some of our older fans. Unfortunately for the atmosphere that’s the majority of the sideline seats in tiger stadium.

The thing I remember the most about Shelby is the skunks in the cantonment area, and the spotted tortoise or whatever and Camp Shelby Crawfish endangered specie in the training area. Imagine being an endangered species and you get named after Camp fricking Shelby...

Oh yeah and the Three Little Pigs BBQ place and Louisiana Sisters Cafe outside the main gate. I probably picked at a handful of MREs during the course of a week and then ate the entire Boat at the Cajun place. The MS ARNG guy who was our guide was impressed I finished the entire thing.

Arguing against climate change

Climate change is natural, nobody is arguing against it.

When people start offering solutions that include nuclear energy instead of a globalist communist government, I'll consider that people may actually care about it.

It's just as easy to buy a scientist as it is a politician. Easier really.

When scientist drilled through the Greenland ice sheets they discovered the remains of a temperate forest. What "industrial emissions" caused it to be so warm millions of years ago? and oh yeah FU.

There were millions and millions and millons of these creatures called dinosaurs, that were like big as houses, and they farted a lot.

Massive fart clouds blocked out the orange, hot saucer in sky and cold enveloped world and hot weather go away and pretty trees die, replaced by big white ice.

Now it opposite and instead of getting cold, big industrial machines and plastic bags at grocery store cause Earf to get hot and burn down with fire and heat called global warming change climate.

It was 130 index on the field yesterday.

Georgia fans would be wilting and passing out in droves. What Georgia people think is "heat" is a crisp fall day in LA.

I was born in Baton Rouge and have lived in Baton Rouge as an adult, and the heat might be worse than in Georgia....but I can't tell if it is.

On the field is completely different than in the stands. The thing that makes Louisiana heat so different is the humidity, and from what I understand, the humidity was still high in Baton Rouge Saturday. Honestly, as rabid as LSU fans are I was surprised to see so many empty seats, too, but I suspect when this heat wave gets through this week, you will see full stadiums again. It's just tough to sit in so much heat in direct sunlight for a game you can catch on TV with iced tea in your hands and a quick trip to the bathroom can be made during one of the many commercial breaks.

I'm guessing that you non-coastal sates have no idea how the Gulf of Mexico controls our weather. At least two hundred miles inland, it decides how hot and humid it will be. A hundred miles off shore from Orange Beach in a thousand feet of water, right now the gulf sits at 89 degrees.

I don’t get why any team in the south schedules day games in early / mid September. It’s still summer.

The all time worst was Cowboys games in the old Texas Stadium. 3:00 games when it’s 105 outside and 130 on the field, and no wind in there.

It's a new day. People sit in the A/C playing on their phone all day. Hell no they can't take the heat.

Well, unfortunately, if all of those fans would’ve stayed in the stands the entire time, there would’ve been someone or multiple people who died. You guys are more than welcome to go sit in that type heat if you want to. But you’re all full of shite and know you wouldn't have lol

Just anecdotally, summers when I was a kid in Texas were hot and occasionally unbearable, but every day is like Mad Max the last few years.

Apparently, y'all need to get out more. We planted food plots all day Saturday and it was 100 heat index. I'm old and I did fine. Just stay hydrated. Oh and "climate change" is a fabricated bunch of nonsense. The climate has always changed.

This. I live outside when I'm not at work. I have a small ranch, so I don't mean sitting by the pool. I'm always gettin' it. Heat is heat. Always has been. Wipe your brow and move on.

For decades now, air conditioning has been weakening people's tolerance to heat. But now it's even worse due to smart phones.

You can't spend your life in air conditioning and then suddenly pop up and go to a football game at high noon. It won't work. But instead of blaming our own dormant, lazy asses - we are introduced to "global warming", and it makes sense.

The turf on sideline was reading 130 in br at gametime.
Now sit in the bleachers in the sun near that. With all the people so close. I'm gonna pass. I was on call for work so I have an excuse from my boss

On the climate change topic. Of course the climate is changing. It was changing before man started burning stuff.

I live by a principle of I don't want to sweat if I'm not working. I work hard to afford ac and to hide from it if I am not trying to accomplish something. Sitting in the heat is not fun to me. Never was
