I posted this in a thread yesterday.

quote:

The highest ranked offense UGA has faced is Notre Dame at 47th.

The highest ranked defense LSU has faced is Florida at 10th.

Against that 10th ranked defense LSU put up 42 points and 511yds.

Georgia hasn't face a single offense that even remotely resembles anything like LSU is bringing to Atlanta this weekend. Like, not even in the same universe. They can gameplan all they want but they don't have the horses to stop Chase, Jefferson, Marshall, Moss and Clyde every play. Burrow and Brady will find the weakness. UGA fans want you to believe their defense is some impenetrable piece of armor when they've been getting shot with Nerf guns all year.

Always is when UGA-LSU meet when they get to. A lot of UGA fans would say 2013 LSU is the best atmosphere in our history. Dawg fans also figured this would be their last chance to see Death Valley for nearly a quarter century. Guess I'll get to when I'm 40 or so.

What was last years score?

Expect even more.

Georgia will make the game ugly regardless of the outcome. Georgia will run the ball effectively for a quarter or two & have 4 or 5 straight 3 & outs. We've done it all year and I don't expect that to change. If LSU has to settle for fgs instead of tds it could get interesting.

Poor description of Burrow. He went from decent to having the best year a QB has ever had in SEC history. I believe that's more than better. Receivers cannot be covered. RB is a game changer. This offense just cannot be stopped. LSU Defense is loaded with talent but not dominating. Fromm seems off this year.
Georgia defense is very good but still not as good as Fla. or Auburn.LSU is battle tested. This game will be tight for a quarter or two but in the end the LSU offense is just way too much. Ga cannot keep up. LSU 45- Ga.20

Hmmmmmm what? Both defenses have faced multiple offenses in the the top 30. Auburn faced #2, #7 and #27.

Y'all can't keep ignoring the offenses this UGA defense has faced. ONE in the top 50 and it was ND who doesn't have the athletes of Ole Miss let alone LSU.

Are you serious Clarke?

UGA has 6 common opponents with Florida.
2 common opponents with Auburn.

Over those 8 matchups, UGA gave up fewer points and yards.

Your rose colored glasses are showing.

LSU's offense is significantly better (obviously) and Georgia's run defense is as good as it has ever been.

I'm going to give UGA the benefit of the doubt and predict that they score twice what A&M did and allow a little less than half of what A&M did.

LSU 31 UGA 14

This. We couldn't understand it, either. Still makes me scratch our heads. Our running game isn't as potent as last year, either. Our passing game has sputtered this year. Could be a long, long day for us, no doubt.

UGA D is more than capable of keeping them in this game especially in a not really neutral environment like ATL

I see this a lot and don't understand it. how is it not neutral? The tickets are split evenly, are they not?

I mean, I get it because it is in the state of Georgia, but using that rationale, the WLOCP is "not really" a neutral game. It is played in Florida.

Last year was in Tiger Stadium, a venue UGA had not played in since 2008. This game is in Atlanta, less than 1 hour from Athens and is a venue LSU has not played in since 2011, with respect to the SEC title game. UGA has played in the last 2 SEC Title games in Atlanta.

I do think UGA has a home field advantage here. The good thing for LSU, and I mean this with the most respect, is that this team beat Bama at BDS with Tua, who maybe not as mobile as he could have been, threw for 400 yards and 4 TDs in that game. If this team can win at BDS, I think they are mentally ready to play an SEC title game in what is a home field advantage for UGA.

They are not. The schools get relatively small allotments.

It starts with Jordan Davis at NT. Add Travon Walker and Devonte Wyatt on the DL. At OLB, we have Aziz Ojulari, Nolan Smith, Jermaine Johnson. At ILB, we have Nakobe Dean. Additional spies with Quay Walker and Adam Anderson. In the secondary, Eric Stokes, Tyreke Stevenson, Divaad Wilson, and DJ Daniel.

So you can read a depth chart. Great.

But don't they get the same amount?

Then, can't LSU fans go to outside sources to get more, just like Georgia fans?

Maybe I am misunderstanding how it works. I thought both schools fans had equal access to the tickets. Do Georgia people have easier access?

Let's dig into this. I've got some free time today.

UGA/FLORIDA
Vandy 30-6 / 56-0 (Adv.UF)
Kentucky 21-0 / 29-21 (Adv.UGA)
Tennessee 43-14 / 34-3 (Adv.UF)
Auburn 21-14 / 24-13 (Adv.UF)
South Carloina 20-17(L) / 38-27 (you lost to fricking South Carolina )
Mizzou 27-0 / 23-6 (Adv.UGA)

UGA/AUBURN
UF 24-17 / 24-13(L) (Adv.UGA)
A&M 19-13 / 28-20 (Adv.UGA but your offense was shite in this game )

You can't seriously be pinning your defensive prowess to this shite fest. That's 4 for UGA and 4 for the other guys.

You've obviously not watched a minute of UGA football this season. Anyone who has watched the Dawg defense play instantly know that they're special, regardless of opponent. They're playing like prime Bama defenses.
