Did us missing these players hurt us?

Kendall Milton 4* RB
Tykee Smith All American DB
Tate Ratledge starting guard
Dominick Blaylock 5* WR
Jalen Kimber DB
Rian Davis LB
Trezman Marshall LB
Arian Smith fastest WR

George Pickens not anywhere near 100% and was on a play count
Kearis Jackson WR not 100%

ETA
Forgot about losing Adam Anderson..projected to go first round and our best edge rusher.

Scoring 33 points to Alabama's 18 is what won Georgia the title.

lots of players are injured every season. Alabama was down to one single healthy running back from 5 early in the year.

Metchie and Williams, though, were the 2 primary receivers for Alabama and with Williams healthy in the SEC title game, and Metchie till the 2nd half, Alabama soundly beat UGA. Even without Metchie, Alabama was leading in the CFP title game and moving the ball with Williams and the one healthy rb, Robinson. When Williams went down in the 2nd quarter, after losing Metchie the last game, that's all she wrote. Would have been significantly different had both went down and out during the season. Saban is a very good coach, probably the best ever, but he doesn't rotate much, especially with true freshman coming in for upperclassmen.

my perspective on how that is not objectively true.

lol saying an offense that was third in points per drive is mediocre because of reasons isn’t being objective at all.

That won UGA the title game as much as UGA not having a healthy Pickens, blaylock, Ratledge, Anderson, and smith won bama the SEC title game.

What a loser statement. Losing the SECCG isn't what won UGA the title, Metchie and Williams and the bama secondary being injured was.

Lol, Aubie dick riding Bama. Didn’t Metchie and Williams play vs aTm? What was the excuse then. Heck, lowly Auburn almost beat Bama.

We started a walk on at QB and played a lot of freshman during the season due to injury. Injuries happen and should not be used as excuses. (See Atlanta Braves)

We lost on purpose so that there would be a rematch for the NC and that GA would have a chance to beat Bama for the NC rather than just the SECCG, Tammy.

Not just points per drive. We ranked 9th nationally in scoring at 38.6 per game.

Too easy.

I'm just glad when my team won the title we didn't need any mulligans, won our conference, and didn't have to play a depleted squad in the title game. Based on this incessant need for justification still going on 3 weeks later it clearly takes some of the shine off.

That's football...the next man has to be ready to step in and execute... No true Bama fans, that I know, are making excuses... We got beat.. but they feel good about what happened in a year we were not expected to win

Nothing takes the shine off something like the decades going by, we are working on decade 2 for AU. Y’all might want to clean that thing up some…probably dusty. You should consider getting the upgraded model trophy.

It’s cool auburn used to be good at football in 2010. Maybe one day auburn can have a good season again.

Where does this come from? You started the year ranked #1 and had the best odds in Vegas to win it all. But people keep saying this..

You had a paid QB, among others, who never attended class at Auburn until he was in the NFL. If there ever was a NC with a huge asterisk, it’s Auburn’s. Everybody knows that.

Just look at where Auburn football is now that the money men have died or gone to prison.

I would assume having Saban and his history of championships makes it slightly easier to take. That and returning a heisman winner at QB and the best defensive player in the nation.
