Does no one enjoy playing football anymore. It’s like people are only playing a kids game unless they are being paid. I do not understand this.

With Auburn opting out, they should not be eligible for any bowl revenue sharing.

How much money are they forfeiting? Like $1M each that’s supposed to go to the conference pot?

I get why the schools that changed coaches are doing it.

shite like Norvell & Aranda doing it make no sense.

Rutgers made the list twice...

The teams playing in the bowl games have not been the same starters that played during the season. Too many player opting out due to portal or draft.

I imagine the seniors from these 5-7 teams assumed the seasons were over and have been checked out of the programs for weeks. Not to mention the guys who plan to transfer.

Because they are some bitches who don't want to risk being embarrassed on television again. That program is back to being pre Bowden irrelevant because they can't afford to fire Norvell and are not attractive enough to hire a good coach even if they had the money.

You love to see it.

I'd like to know more about the business of bowls.

I do know schools are on the hook for tickets and travel. Not sure if the smaller bowls would bring the money that a school would need.

I'm guessing alot of backups and walkons are pissed, they would have loved to play.

Schools are either losing money on these games or they don't wanna play with scrubs and look bad.

Sound logic. You gotta do you part if you want a slice of the pie.

That said, 5-win bowl teams does seem a little ridiculous.

Bowls are money losers for most schools.

It costs more to go than can be recovered by participating.

Those schools wouldn't cime close to selkung their required ticket allotment either ... they'd lose money all the way around.
