With the league having one of its strongest showing in a while, what will everyone return next season? I can't really see things not changing at the top much. Carolina will lose Thornwell, but still have talent on roster with only 3 seniors. Arkansas loses Kingsley & Hannahs, but return everyone else. Kentucky always seems to reload. Florida has just a few seniors but returns Allen & Egbunu.

What about everyone else?

For Arkansas...

Lose: Kingsley, Hannahs, Watkins
Gain: 2 ESPN Top 150 recruits
Return: Macon, Barford, Cook, Bailey, Beard, Thompson, Thomas

So, are we looking at Kentucky, Florida, Arkansas, and South Carolina being the top 4 teams again in some order? What does Vandy return?

Well LSU is getting all 5 starters back, a few solid 'croots on the way, and will have newly hired John Calipari in BR. I'm stoked

Hard to ignore 5 starters returning who won 10 games overall.

You hope. Alleva may decide to keep JJ

It's definitely possible, but I don't think it's a certainty at all. SCAR and Arkansas lose their best player, Florida loses Leon and Berry, and a lot of young teams in Auburn, Tennessee, Bama, Miss State could make a leap next year.

things are quiet, but his buyout is nothing. he has basketball connects from duke, so h definitely has some names in mind. hopefully this hire isn't influenced by others like the johnny hire

Barring any transfers:

Return: Braxton Key, Ar'Mond Davis, Donta Hall, Dazon Ingram, Riley Norris, Avery Jr, and Nick King (hasn't played for most of the year).

Gain: Collin Sexton (5* PG), John Petty (4* SG), Alex Reese (4* PF), Herb Jones (3* SG), Galin Smith (3* C), and Daniel Giddens (C, transfer from Ohio State).

Lose: Shannon Hale (thank god), Jimmy Taylor, Corban Collins, and Bola Olaniyan.

We'll have an interesting back court next year with Sexton and Petty. Really will miss Bola's ability to dominate the boards, but he really brings nothing to the table offensively. Jury is still out Avery on whether he can succeed or not, but I think he's done well with what he's had to deal with and not being able to implement his system.

Thornwell will hurt Carolina. Not sure I would say that about Arkansas.

Hogs return Macon and Barford, who were 2nd and 3rd on the team in scoring. Both have a higher ceiling than Hannahs. Better off the dribble and distribute the ball well.

Alabama loses Jimmie Taylor, Corbin Collins and Bola Olanyion. Returns all their offensice production, but will have to replace their rebounding.

Bringing in a Top 5 class headlined by Collin Sexton and John Petty to add to rising sophomores Braxton Key and Dazon Ingram, as well as transfer Daniel Giddens and something from Nick King.

Avery has held his own so far, significantly improved from year 1 to year 2 (per KenPom) and will have by far his most talented roster next season. Anything less than the NCAA tournament will be a major disappointment.

We lose Corban Collins, Jimmie Taylor, and Bola Olaniyan and add the number 5 recruiting class in the country plus Ohio State transfer Daniel Giddens.

I think Auburn loses like one rotational player, then adds 2 more 4 stars. Despite what the rant has said, I think Pearl is about to make a huge step forward next year with the talent he has there.

Mississippi State has some good talent coming in too if I'm not mistaken.

We're losing Dunans and Ronnie Johnson which are easily replaceable. Basically our whole team is returning and will be sophomores and juniors with a couple higher rated freshmen coming in.

UGA will have a strong set of bigs coming back (assuming Maten sticks around, as I suspect he will).

If Crump and Harris improve their ball handling and defense as sophomores, we could have a really solid team:

Forwards:
1. Yante Maten (Sr)
2. Derek Ogbeide (Jr)
3. Mike Edwards (Jr)
4. Pape Diatta (Sr)
5. Etrorrion Wilridge (Jr)

Guards:
1. Jordan Harris (So)
2. Tyree Crump (So)
3. Juwan Parker (RSr)
4. Turtle Jackson (Jr)

Wild card here could be incoming 4* Tayshaun Hammonds at power forward.

I'm talking about Kingsley. 12 points, 2.6 blocks, and nearly 8 boards a game is going to be missed.

Alabama, Auburn and Mississippi State will all reasonable NCAA Tournament birth expectations next season.

Arkansas returns big men Thompson and Cook. Anderson also signed one of the best C's in the country this class who is a stud. Should be fine down low.

Arkansas's defensive strategy will change as schemes will not have to be made to mask Hannah's lack of lateral quickness.

He is a great player, but he is slow on the defensive end.

A&M should be solid next year. Top 10-15 team if Robert Williams returns. We have two top 100 PGs coming in, so hopefully our guard problem will be shored up. Everyone else returns.
