Doesn't matter who coaches LSU, the Tigers will be bad next season. Probably lose best player in Blakeney and best post player in Reath. The rest of the post players are awful and we aren't bringing anyone in. LSU is likely worse next year record wise even with a new coach

I'll take the big with a higher shooting percentage, only about a point less per game, and close to three blocks. Kingsley gets twice as many rebounds per game as your 2nd best rebounder.
Arkansas could easily be better next year, but let's not act like a four star freshman is going to come in and replace Kingsley without a drop off.

I think SEC basketball will take another step forward next year. A lot of middle of the pack and bottom half teams will be much improved next year. Auburn, Tennessee, Miss State and others.
Georgia loses JJ Frazier which hurts but return everyone else, plus a big prep G in Hightower and a top 50 recruit in combo forward Hammonds.
More good news, Houston Kessler finally runs out of eligibility so that improves the team a lot too. I've looked forward to him graduating for 5 years now.

Mississippi State
Losses: IJ Ready, PG
Additions:
Nick Weatherspoon, PG, 4*, #27 national rank, 6'2" 173 lbs
Garrison Brooks, PF, 4*, #136 national rank, 6'9" 215 lbs
Keyshawn Feazell, PF, 3*, #230 national rank, 6'9" 225 lbs
Also we add from Academic inelligibilty this year:
Abdul Ado, C, 4*, #120 national rank(2016), 6'11" 235 lbs
State is going to be a completely different team next year. We will be a hell of a lot bigger, and a hell of a lot deeper.

Thompson is a better 5 for what Mike wants from the position. He has finally figured out how to play without getting into foul trouble. The offense is more efficient with him on the court.
Let's not act like losing Kingsley is as devastating as a loss of Macon or Barford.

I think Auburn loses like one rotational player, then adds 2 more 4 stars
Yup. People have talked about us starting 4 freshmen as a reason for our struggles this year, but watching our senior day yesterday I think if you look at our upperclassmen it's a bigger reason:
TJ Dunans- JUCO transfer
Ronnie Johnson - Grad transfer
LaRon Smith - Grad transfer
Devin Waddell - walk-on
Those are the only 4 seniors. Only JR scholarship player that played is TJ Lang who was a 3* and only plays 16 mpg. There's no real leadership on the team. Next year will be the first time we've had upperclassmen that Pearl recruited from HS. Should make a huge difference IMO.
Oh and both the 4* players committed for next year are top 50 players.

Gafford will probably match those numbers next year.

UF will lose Hill, Barry, Rimmer, and Leon for sure.
Possibly Robinson too.
But Allen, Chiozza, Egbunu, Hayes, Stone, and Hester will all be back, along with quite a strong recruiting class.
UF will lose a lot of experience, but the talent will be there to make another NCAA tournament run.

Vandy loses Kornet (huge loss, especially defensively) & Nolan Cressler (solid player but really hasn't done much til the 2nd half of his senior year. VU only has 9 scholarship players this season making Coach Drews first year that much more impressive IMO. LaChance, Roberson, Toye, Fisher Davis are main returning contributors though some young guys like Willis, Brown and Baptiste showed improvement during the season.
VU will add former 4* transfer PG Larry Austin next season along with 3 current top 150 recruits and still in play to sign 2 more to this class.

The non-conference portion of the SEC teams schedules next year will be huge.
Teams down league need to make statements and win games against other leagues. That's the final step to prove the league is good again.

Auburn loses 2 contributing players. Returns top 4 scorers and adds 2 top 50 freshmen. Auburn should match up talent wise with anyone not named Kentucky and maybe Florida.
Will still be young, so I think they will be fighting for position 3-7 in the league.

Lose: De'Aaron Fox, Malik Monk, Bam?, Derek Willis, Dom Hawkins, Michael Mulder, Briscoe?
Bring Back: Isaac Humphries, Wenyen Gabriel(most likely), SKJ...those are the ones who actually get PT but SKJ hasn't gotten much of that lately
Bring in: 4* Shai Alexander, 5* Quade Green, 5* Jarred Vanderbilt, 5* Nick Richards, 5* PJ washington, 5* Mo Bamba(most likely)
Pretty excited about next year.

So it sounds like the SEC has really stepped up its recruiting game. That's exactly what we need as a conference.

So, are we looking at Kentucky, Florida, Arkansas, and South Carolina being the top 4 teams again in some order? What does Vandy return?
UK, Florida, and Arkansas will be good again. South Carolina will have a tough time replacing Thornwell. I don't expect them to be bad but more like a 9-9 or 10-8 team than Top 4.
Alabama is the most likely to make that jump of that next group imo. They should still be good defensively, and their incoming class should immediately add some offense.
Auburn, UT, and Mississippi State will be interesting to watch. All should be significantly improved.
I'll also throw in A&M in as a sleeper. Williams is probably gone but their frontcourt should still be strong. If they can get more out of their guard play (Caldwell will be eligible) they can be a tournament team again.

LSU will have a new coach so it can only get better
