Auburn brooms Bama again too.

Highlight of Auburn's pathetic program. We'll split like usual.

Your B-Ball program isn't historically that much better, your current coach is 1-3 against Pearl, and your hangar of an arena is the worst arena in the SEC. Pathetic.

Bama's program is miles ahead of Auburn's historically, don't kid yourself.

They finished 5th this year. The gap between 10-8 and 12-6 isn't that wide

They played 7 games against SEC seeds #11-14, next most games against that group is Ole Miss with 6

Plus their D and rebounding, their strengths, will take a massive hit by losing both C Jimmie Taylor and C Bola Olaniyan. Those guys suck on offense, but they are a huge reason teams don't score inside. Donta Hall can't do it alone for 40 minutes

If Bama wins 10+ games next year, it won't be due to their defense but outscoring oeople with their freshmen 5*s

But yet the program is miles from being relevant. Basically they're the worlds tallest midget in the CBB world. Congrats...

I've never seen a fanbase so satisfied to be in the bottom four of the conference like auburn fans.

You just are too rantarded to see Auburn fans accept our history

I'd have no problem making a Sig bet with you that Auburn finishes with at least 10 SECW

No, I've seen several Auburn circle jerks about just how good of a job Pearl has done as he prepares to tip off Wednesday of the SEC-T where he will need to win a couple games just to get back into the NIT picture after all the low and mid major conference tourney upsets over the weekend...

Bama doesnt even have a second rate basketball program and never will. The irony is thick.

Too bad we couldn't play Bama every game.

Hall can't do it alone for 40 minutes, but they do have Daniel Giddens eligible. Hall + Giddens will still be one of the best defensive frontcourts in the conference.

Plus their perimeter defense should only improve with the addition of Sexton.

Their defense will still be Top 25 imo. It's silly to think that they're suddenly going to be bad defensively

Alabama, Auburn and Mississippi State will all reasonable NCAA Tournament birth expectations next season.
As are Ky, FL, Ark, SC, TN. Several will be disappointed.

And a complete offensive nonfactor.

If Sexton isn't as billed, their offense will struggle just as badly as this year. The difference is that their H/A rotations + permanent opponents will be significantly more challenging

Put it this way, Using Bamas 5 seed when 6/10 wins vs seeds #12-14 and 8/18 games were #11-14 is just kind of naive. Especially considering the SEC is clearly expected to be significantly improved next year

the SEC is cleary in a rebound year. Only about 5 teams returned 3+ starters from 2015-16

In 17-18, it is expected 9 teams will return 4+ starters. Those are from vastly improved recruiting classes in the SEC that didn't happen in years past

UK, Florida, and Arkansas will be good again. South Carolina will have a tough time replacing Thornwell. I don't expect them to be bad but more like a 9-9 or 10-8 team than Top 4.

Alabama is the most likely to make that jump of that next group imo. They should still be good defensively, and their incoming class should immediately add some offense.

I can see that. Just on pure numbers, Carolina returns a lot. But I agree, they weren't good w/out Thornwell this year.

I'd expect U.K., FL, and Ark battling for the top 3 spots and Vandy, Bama, Tennessee to be battling for the spots below.

Look, I know Bama's SEC schedule was extremely favorable.

So was Auburn's.

Auburn played Mizzou and LSU twice. They played the Top 4 once each.

Yet Auburn went 7-11. Five of those seven wins are over the bottom three. The other two were Bama.

I'm more confident that a team who finished 10-8 against a weak conference slate will take the next step than a team that finished 7-11 against a similarly weak slate, especially since said 10-8 team is adding a Top 5 recruiting class.

One of these young teams is bound to take that next step. My money is on Bama. Yeah, a lot of that hinges upon Sexton being good right away, but he has good players around him so he should be set up to succeed.

But Petty and Sexton will have the same set of growing pains that Heron and Wiley had to go through this year.

Petty will, but Sexton is the best player that either team has signed since the Pearl/Johnson era started. Auburn has more good ones on their roster, but Sexton is a bona-fide superstar and has proven ito at the highest level, nationally and internationally.

Doesn't mean he'll waltz in and win Conference POY, but I don't expect him to disappear into the crowd much.

Sexton has to be one of the best freshmen in the country for Bama to be third.

I mean, that isn't exactly out of the question.

I don't see Vandy. Kornet does so much for them in spacing their offense and being their only interior defensive threat. Baptiste has the physical frame of a god but he's looked like he's never seen a basketball at times. I also wouldn't be shocked if MFD leaves.

What does Auburn have to do with this?

You predicted Bama in your fake power rankings at #3 and based a large part on their team this year.

Their team next will be drastically changed from this years strengths and relying on FR to contribute a significant amount
