I'd be curious to see a list of wealthiest alumni/donors by school. But I'm too lazy to put that together.

I think Cook lives in Palo Alto, Ca and takes a helicopter to work each day. My oldest son lives in San Fran and works for Apple. Damn sure doesn't live in Alabama.

But, he was born in South Africa, grew up there and went to college there. Also went to college in Canada and Pennsylvania. He then moved to California for a number of years before recently moving to Texas.

I think Mississippi has as much claim

I keep most of my assets in offshore accounts so the list didn't account for that.

Makes no difference to me where he lived yesterday;

It's weird that you some how get a victory because someone else is rich in your state.

If they aren't giving me any money, frick em.

Billionaires own sports franchises. If you look at the list, the only one listed who owns a franchise is Benson. No Cuban, Steve Ballmer (dude is worth 83B), Jerry Jones? I could go on but I think you get the gist.

ETA In other words............that list excludes a hell of a lot of billionaires.

Harbert was the riches person in Alabama for years, then his wife took the title when he died. The wealth was then spread out to their children. Rane is a billionaire today, thanks to Covid.

If you have your cash in stacks instead of stocks, that's why you're not a millionaire.
