This is so fricking stupid. You guys are just prisoners of the moment. BK’s hires have been his Achilles heel. When he finally gets a good one (Baker) he’s going to bail next year for a HC / NFL job. I don’t trust who he hires next. As a coach overall, he’s fine.
Lane has fun offenses, but as a coach he’s so fricking overrated. Ole Miss destroyed us yesterday, more than EARNED that victory, and still only won by 5 AT HOME. If the roles were reversed we’d be PISSED as LSU fans and you know it. BK has more SEC title appearances than Lane, yet people act like Kiffin is some world-beater. He’s had competitive teams and the occasional 10-win season, but nothing elite.
This is just prisoners-of-the-moment talk. Lane is reckless with shiny offenses, while BK already beat him with Nussmeier and a weaker defense. BK wasn’t hired for a title anyway, if he wins one, that’d be amazing, but he was hired to keep LSU competitive and out of the 90s rut, and he’s done that. Yes he’s expensive but Woody wanted as close to a sure thing as possible and that’s what it costs these days.
