What other cites do you have for per capita income, so we have a per capita income not terrible, given cost of living, while having a high poverty rate (meaning we do have a large segment on government subsidies, but that gets into politics and other issues that get the Political correct police upset).

LINK

If you look at GDP per capita, LA even with a High Poverty rate has a very productive Economy for that 81% not below the poverty rate. In fact outside states with much larger populations (TX, FL, GA and TENN), we are even with MO even though MO has about 1.6 million more people than LA.

So take that and in the words of Burt Reynolds in the Original Longest Yard from 1973 to Eddie Albert's character, "Stick this in your trophy case"

Mizzouri residents call their own state misery for a reason.

I guess it’s not cause of income but the football product that ends up letting the residents down every year.

Sounds like you’re judging Columbia based on I70 and you’ve never actually been to the town. Guess I should just judge Baton Rouge based on what I can see from I10.

The nicest parts of Columbia are downtown around campus and south/southwest.

My daughter had a swim meet in College at Mizzou. Spent 3 days on campus and all around Columbia.

Guess what, TERRIBLE TOWN.

What this tells everyone is that conservatives policies don’t work. Go look at the poverty rates of each state. The worst states are led by republicans.

Only 1 household’s income & wealth that I can control. So…. Nola has a shite ton of poverty. I have a 24 mile wide lake between me and them.

And the good news is that those bridges would likely coapse from a mass exodus of NOLA.

You're pretty safe.
