Our O is a very strong system and LSU has a bevy of highly-recruited kids ready to go. I think we'll be good again. I do not think we will ever have a QB as efficient as Jeaux again.

I'm talking about a better player. Stats and riding a running game to the playoffs doesnt mean he is good

Brennen is good. Maybe not Burrow good, but who is?
LSU’s offense should be really good again next year. Everyone will know Emery’s name next year too.

Do you mean by leading his team to the CFB and one play from a natty as a freshman?
Joe didn't do that and he is light years ahead of your boy. Myles obviously can't do that, but he doesn't need to for the other guy's claim to be correct.

Or like career stats of 65% completions, 7300 yards to date, 70-16?
Myles is unlikely to catch him in the production stats because he won't get as many seasons, but I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up with similar efficiency/per-game numbers. Joe's a generational talent, obviously, but people neglect that (1) Myles was a well-regarded prospect himself and (2) our success is just as much a product of installing a good system that can train and coach up these QBs to their full potential.
65% is an awesome completion percentage so on principle I wouldn't bet on it, but if Myles did hit it I wouldn't be surprised.

Or like winning 3 straight division titles, 1 SEC so far, and a CFP playoff?
Again he obviously can't win 3 straight division titles with 2 seasons to play, but he very well could win every division title he gets a chance to win, win the SEC once and win a playoff game.
quote:
Or like winning 33 games to date?
Wouldn't be surprised if he ends up with a similar win percentage when they're both done.

You are paying a mediocre coach $7.5M per year to go 7-5 every season. Shut the frick up and sit your arse down.
You bring nothing to the table in this conference besides an annoying reminder that you exist.

Aww, so threatened. It's cute.

Slight, eh?

I'd be more accepting if a Bama or Georgia or even Florida fan was asking this question ... but ... an Aggie? What do you guys know about reloading after a Heisman winner moves on to the NFL?

Ya'll better hope Ensminger doesn't jump ship for a HC spot somewhere.....he's bound to receive offers after running an offense like he has this season.

Not sure if Brennan can cut it but he’ll be a senior who had 2 years to learn from Burrow.
Brennan has the better arm of the two fwiw.

All good comments, respect the positions.
My only key points are these: 1. Burrow is as good a QB as I've ever seen, to expect Myles Brennan to be close is aggressive. 2. Fromm has been a very good SEC QB for UGA. He's had off games but saying he's a bad QB is pretty off.

10 four star or better WRs on the roster? That's impressive.
quote:
At WR they’ll have to rely on
5* Jamar Chase - 1,116 yds and 13 TDS to this point this year
5* Terrace Marshall - Missed 3 games this year and still has 8 TDs
5* Rakim Jarrett - Freak show
4* Jermaine Burton - Top 40 kid, very good chance he finishes as a 5*
4* Kayshon Boutte - Top 50 kid, may end as a 5*. He can fly
4* Koy Moore
4* Trey Palmer
4* DeVonta Lee
4* Racey McMath
4* Jaray Jenkins

He is probably retiring. He would have already if any other than Ed is head coach.

Like not losing to South Carolina for one.

Brennen will be the QB in 2020 and 2021, he’s got 2 years of eligibility left. He will be really really good.
He’ll shine in this offense. Maybe not as bright as Burrow, but shine nonetheless.

Why are you so angry and worried about our money?
Oh, and we also brought about a 40% increase in eyeballs and TVs when the SEC network extended its footprint to Texas. So, just cash your check and shut up.

Burrow is the best QB in the SEC since Cam. Brennan may be good but it’s freaking hard to replace a guy who just makes whatever play you need out there, feels like every time.

Brennan has a stronger arm than Burrow, and he really looks the part now that he's added some muscle and gone from 185 to 207.
He won't be Joe Burrow, and his leadership skills and other intangibles are unknown, but he's going to be good. Maybe not good enough to get us back to the playoff, but good.

Plus he is home in Louisiana, an LSU alum, former LSU QB, and wants to be in Louisiana. He will leave LSU to retire, not coach elsewhere.
