Your qb left and your portal class is one of the worst in the conference and your no ball head coach is bringing back the entire shitty arse BBQ gang next year.

Your "down year" is probably gonna be the last time you see the playoffs for awhile.

At least we have some hope for now.

Not much to go off of tbh.

As confident as you can be with a new QB. He seems to be good. Backups are unknowns.

RB is solid.

Some of the WRs from USF seem to be good.

OLine is worrisome although I think Auburn fans exaggerate how bad it is. Still need depth.

Dline is worrisome.

Lbs should be good.

Secondary should be good.

Our roster seemed pretty good last year though so coaching is big part of it. I like the sound of the new guy but it’s easy to sound good. Hard to know until you see some product on the field.

How are things going so far with Golesh?

I like him so far, but very little to go off. He seems like he is there to create a winning culture.

Hugh brought the talent in, but didn’t do anything with it. He did bring Durkin and I do think he is a great DC.

As for Cohen, I don’t get the hate on him.

10 years ago Bama fans could give a shite about even winning the SEC without a national title, and now you're bragging about beating Hugh Freeze and Bryan Harsin after getting your shite pushed in by a Saban disciple? Down year? How.... are..... you.... going to compete against Texas for talent brother? What..... booster do you have who will get you on the game?

Auburn fans are currently in, "Football isn't that important, I'm just proud that Auburn University is an institution that does things the right way," mode.

Being an Auburn man allows one to pursue way more worldly and noble pursuits than sportsball. Who has time for that shite, really?

I think that Golesh will be a good coach for Auburn.

Step one in finally flushing out the snake oil salesmen at Auburn was getting rid of Leath as president. Step two was firing Hugh. There's only one more domino to fall.

Let m tell you that Missouri is not better shape than Auburn. I am giving Drinkwitz and Mizzou to go 6-6 or 5-7 this coming season.

i was a fan of Golesh even before he got hired, and was disappointed when the word got out that he was headed to Arky around the same time Sumrall backed off of AU when UF came calling

I woke up after the IB convinced we were promoting Durkin, and was thrilled that we got Golesh instead

of course my “homerun hire” takes have turned out pretty shitty recently (Frost at Nebraska, Napier at UF, Fickell at Wisky), so take that FWIW

but the best part is he’s not Hugh fricking Freezus

I hope they find their way

College football is better when AU has a good program. Between the LSU matchups and Iron Bowls I miss them being relevant

They are playing next year with USF’s roster apparently:

Thats what Suckyfield is doing at Arkansas, except hes just bringing the entire Memphis team to Arkansas. The same Memphis team that required 3 miracles just to beat us by 1 point last year
