Pod system

East- UF, SCAR, UGA, UK

Central- Vandy, Bama, Auburn, Tenn

South- LSU, A&M, State, OM

West- Texas, Mizzou, OU, Ark

Switch us and aTm and I can support it. The prospect of playing Missouri every year from now on makes me ill.

3 perm + a two year 6 game (home & away) rotation.

just need to find a non-human rules based way to determine the best two teams to play for the CC.

Bama: Tennessee, Auburn, Ole Miss
Piggy: OU, Texas, aTm
Auburn: Bama, UGA, MSU
Florida: UGA, SCAR, LSU
UGA: Florida, Auburn, SCAR
UK: Vandy, Tennessee, Misery
LSU: aTm, Ole Miss, Florida
MSU: Ole Miss, Auburn, Misery
Misery: OU, UK, MSU
Ole Miss: MSU, LSU, Bama
OU: Piggy, Misery, Texas
SCAR: Florida, UGA, Vandy
Tennessee: Bama, Vandy, UK
Texas: Piggy, OU, aTm

Vandy: Tennessee, UK, SCAR

East

UF
Uga
USC
UTK
UK
UA
AU
Vandy

West

UTA
OU
ATm
Ark
Mizzou
LSU
OM
MSU

It’s simple really. East would have really good teams, and really bad teams. West would be a bunch of middling teams. East would dominate SECCG if it still exists.

10 conference games. Less of a need to go OOC with 16 in the conference.

Just do it schoolyard style and let the top 4 teams from the previous year take turns picking.

Also, the first year Texas and OU are in they will be like the news kids who moved into town so anything they did at their old conference doesn’t count.

Lol, no one wants to be stuck in the Big12 pod with OU and tu. ??

Pretty telling.

I think that would be cool.

Maybe we'll all be surprised and get two big divisions with 3 rotating cross-division games.

But you disregard the fact that in that timeline, LSU had the best season that any SEC team has ever had.

You don't get to throw that part out just because you're trying to prove a point.

And here I thought we were talking about Texas A&M verses LSU.

Do you have a hard time concentrating?

Well, when we have been discussing A&M verses LSU I DO get to throw that out, because it has nothing to do with the conversation.
However, do you think LSU the past two years is anywhere close to LSU in 2019? Thanks for proving my point about trajectory.

1. Coach
2. NCAA
3. Image from sexual assault coverups

I don't find them truthful.

Really? So, you don't think Coach O is a problem? Why did LSU fire him, then?

The NCAA isn't investigating LSU?
NCAA reportedly extends investigation into LSU athletics

Sexual assault coverups?
LSU conspired to cover up reports of sexual misconduct and dating violence, new lawsuit claims

I'm glad I could enlighten you to your programs problems.

No. That's why we fired the coach. You're bent on wishcasting LSU to continue to fall behind when the past 25 years have shown that LSU is willing to make moves to ensure future success.

I like the idea of four groups of four. Play everybody in your group. Play half the teams in every other group. That would give you nine conference games - and you'd play everyone else in the conference every other year - with both a home and away game every four.

Nothing stopping the league - every four years - from realigning all this to keep it balanced.

Be a good dog and let me know when LSU gets the death penalty you're hoping and praying for.

Thats the best solution, I'm just not in love with the way the pod shakes out for LSU.

That's why I don't think the pods should be necessarily tied only to geography - and I don't think they should be permanent. I see nothing wrong with changing them up from time to time. Ever four years is probably too much - but every eight might be good. To keep competitive balance.

That works for football, but you're putting a big burden of travel expenses on every other sport if some teams are in a pod together and have to travel all the way across the footprint.

It's not a big deal to send the aggie football team to South Carolina. It is annoying to send the women's soccer team there.

That's a good point. And I have no idea if they'll use these pods for all sports, or just football.

You said the things I mentioned were untruthful....not happening so I gave you links.

You really do have trouble comprehending. I'm not hoping or praying for the death penalty for LSU. I mentioned problems LSU has and you asked for me to name them. So, I did.

If you don't want to hear it then don't ask for it.

I was born in baton Rouge and grew up a huge LSU fan. When my family moved to Georgia I slowly adopted Georgia as my team. I still have family in Baton Rouge and are huge LSU fans. My brother, who now also lives in Georgia is still a huge LSU fan.
You have no idea what you are talking about if you think I have an axe to grind with LSU.

If you don't think A&M has pulled even (at least for the time being) with LSU then you go ahead and keep your head buried in the sand.

So, it's your opinion that when the hired Orgeron the AD was ensuring future success? It's also your opinion that when the Athletic Department covered up sexual assault allegations they were ensuring future success?

That's fine with me. I know when the Jan Kemp thing blew open it was a low point for most Georgia fans. This is MUCH worse and in your mind all is well. Good for you, then.

They barely fricking won last year. 13 offensive points against the worst defense LSU has ever fielded.

Did you think LSU had pulled ahead of Georgia after the 2018 win?
