It's also your opinion that when the Athletic Department covered up sexual assault allegations they were ensuring future success?

That's fine with me. I know when the Jan Kemp thing blew open it was a low point for most Georgia fans. This is MUCH worse and in your mind all is well. Good for you, then.

And that's a bookmark.

I'll remind you in the spring.

You are a strange person. Bookmarked because i asked a question? And what does the spring have to do with my asking you your opinion?

Hey. You do you.

Tell you what. If LSU wins this year, I will be happy to tell you that my impression was wrong. If A&M wins that will be 3 out of the last 4. What will you be thinking at that point?

So? Last I checked it went down as a "W".

13 offensive points against the worst defense LSU has ever fielded.

Again. What that go to do with anything?

At that point in time? No. I guess 2019 showed us differently, though.

Now? Absolutely not.

I think we're going to have to go to a pod arrangement to make 16 work. Otherwise, you're just never going to see the other side's teams; it'll be like 2 separate conferences under 1 roof. Besides, if we put Ole Miss, LSU, and Mississippi State in a rebuilt West with the new adds and keep things the way they are, it'll feel to those 3 charter members like they've joined the Big 12 somehow. In the pod set up, you play your pod's teams every year, 1 team from the other 3 pods, and a permanent rival. We could even go to 3 + 5, but Auburn/Georgia makes that tricky.

Here's how I think it shakes out:

West 1
Texas
Oklahoma
Arkansas
Missouri

West 2
Texas A&M
LSU
Ole Miss
Mississippi State

East 1
Alabama
Auburn
Tennessee
Vanderbilt

East 2
Kentucky
Florida
Georgia
South Carolina

The same thing that I think right now.

The 2020 and 2021 seasons are no reflection of seasons prior, and have no bearing on seasons after.

It really doesn't matter what happens this season.

So LSU beating that Georgia team by 20 points was no big deal, but you expect me to believe that aggy has surpassed LSU because of one game in the covid season?

No because of the last 2 out of three and very real possibility of it turning into 3 out of 4.

I don't base my thoughts on one game or even two games. I look at a trend over 5 games or more. You apparently feel that one game shows exactly where an entire program is at. I just think it is an indicator. I mean you want to dismiss last season because of covid but then completely ignore what is happening THIS season.

LSU fans are walking contradictions. Y'all walked around here claiming you owned Georgia after two wins but ignore it completely when you are staring down a 3 out of four losses to Texas A&M.

You can't make this stuff up.

No. It sucks. It's embarrassing. We should beat A&M more times than we lose to them.

We're also 5-3 vs State in the last 8 matchups. That's even more embarrassing.

It's just not important right now. I don't care how many more games we lose. The players are quitting and the coach has his thumb up his arse. This season has absolutely no bearing on the state of the program going forward. Losing to A&M in 2020 has no bearing on the future of the program.

It just doesn't matter. Do you expect us to sit down and cry?

I really hope they keep East/West as many of you suggest. Move Alabama and Auburn East and place OU, Texas and Missouri West. I like the two divisions with a conference championship games. I also like an almost entirely SEC schedule.

It seems so, but I always wonder if we (Myself included) don't give A&M as much credit as they deserve. A school can have a really good program and not win a National Championship often. I think Georgia has a great program. I think Oklahoma has a really good program the past 5 years and they haven't won one in that time frame.

I realize Florida is a great program, but I don't think they should have dominated us to the degree they have the last 20 years. We have closed that gap, and right now, we are the better program. 5 years from now? Who knows.
I am surprised about the LSU/State record, though.

The players are quitting
This is the most concerning if you feel this way. Once that feeling creeps in on a program it is hard to reverse.

Not at all. I think you misunderstood what I was saying. Besides...I will tell you like I tell a lot of Georgia fans.....people worry about what other fan bases think of their team WAY too much.

Not saying that you do. Just saying too many people go into angst over what others think sometimes.

Cold take: Jimbo is a massive step up for A&M. They recruit better now. I just think he's a little too conservative. Can he hold his staff together?

They should be good for 10-11 wins more years than not, but if Elko leaves, they'll have a hard time replacing them.

Still a lot of luck involved in winning a national championship. LSU has played in 4 of them this century and 2019 was the first one that didn't require lucky breaks.

We've won 7 of the last 9 games against Florida. Still don't believe we're a step above them. They make the right hire and they'll torment us again.

All good points. Personally....I think college football changes so quickly from an offensive and defensive standpoint that it is hard for a coordinator to keep up over the long haul. The ones who adjust survive, and the ones who stubbornly stick to "their" offensive philosophy or defensive philosophy fall behind and struggle. I think Fisher is stubborn with his offensive philosophy and has been passed. It is now considered too conservative. he needs to evolve at least a little bit.

Yes, I understand how ironic it is for a Georgia fan to say this. But our offnese has changed. The QB being hurt has hindered a big breakout, but it is sloooooowly changing.

A ton, and I agree. The exception to the luck rule would be 2019 LSU and 2020 Alabama. Those offenses were absolutely nasty. Great teams that I am not sure will ever be matched again.

They haven't shown they can make the right hire. I mean is it possible? yes. But is it probable? I don't think so. LSU seems to have staying power. Florida is looking more and more like they struck it lucky with Meyer and Spurrier. We'll see, I guess.
