The problem with pods is every single one of them puts Auburn with “one more than everyone else” of the Big Six every time.
Auburn has spent 30 years bitching about being separated from its historic rivals, yet, whenever something is proposed which would solve that, Auburn fans complain that their schedule would be too tough.

once Texas and OU join. I also know this will be tough for A&M fans but I’m genuinely curious as to what it will look like. Will it lean geographically or keeping traditional annual matchups/ “fair” with history/recruiting?

Not trolling, but geography...

West:
Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Texas A&M

North Central: Missou, Kentucky, Tennessee, South Carolina

South Central: Vandy, Mississippi St., LSU, Ole Miss

East: Bama, Auburn, Georgia, Florida

See, this can be an argument for every other sport, but it's absurd for football.

Football makes enough money to justify the travel budget.

Balance the pods out, do the best you can to preserve traditional rivalries.

I would love to switch out A&M for Auburn.

Wrong.

Just move Auburn and bama to the East and Mizzou to the west. Problem solved.

There are no “historic rivalries” to be preserved between East vs West teams when that happens.

Let’s just play ball and the two best teams meet in Atlanta.

The 2018 was bullshite,

Quite often a power shift begins with a controversial game.

Ed has been negligent since the national championship game.

You don't think a negligent coach can start a shift in a rivalry?

Will LSU win every game? No, but we'll win 6 or 7 out of every 10.

If A&M wins this year they will have 3 of the last 5. They are the ones looking closer to 6 out of 10 right now.

LSU is just a better football program.

Historically? Absolutely. Right now? Not even close. Whether y'all like to admit it or not LSU has a ton of problems swirling around the program right now. I suspect the AD will concentrate on a coach that cleans up and shines LSU's image more than turn it around in wins and losses.

I get you won't like what I am saying, but I am not trying to troll or talk LSU down. Just expressing what outsiders are seeing right now.

LSU fans must recognize that there at least appears to be a power shift going on between Texas A&M and LSU.

It’s crazy that they haven’t.

The sec isn't gonna have a 4 team playoff to decide conference champ
You're right that there will not be a four team playoff, but you're wrong to think that is what would be required with pods. Pods were initially thought up by the WAC when they had a 16 team league. The four pods rotate on pairing up into two divisions on an annual basis. So, in a pod system, you end up with two divisions, it's just that the makeup of those divisions changes every year.

Those three to start. You don't find those troubling?

You are the one thta used the 6 or 7 out of ten talking point. I merely pointed out thta thta was the trajectory A&M is on right now.

Like I said....I am not trolling, but these are all issues LSU is facing. Take the purple and gold glasses off for a bit and look at what has happened over the past 2-3 years (or what happened earlier than that but is being uncovered)

If these are inconsequential to you then there is nothing more to say.

Can South Carolina be in the Cupcake Division with Vandy, Mizzou and State?

(No offense to Vandy, Mizzou and State Fans...)

My serious answer would be

Texas, TA&M, Okie and Arky

LSU, Missou, State and Ole Miss

Bama, UGA, Tennessee and Auburn

Vandy, KY, SC and Fla.

It does the best in balancing geography and historic rivalries.

But you disregard the fact that in that timeline, LSU had the best season that any SEC team has ever had.

You don't get to throw that part out just because you're trying to prove a point.
