Bama still would have scored what they did against the LSU defense. The only question is what LSU might have done against an Alabama defense without Turner. We will never know.
I’ve always thought the refs only messed us up to protect those of you who might be going to the playoffs or important bowls but I was rather astonished at the no call for targeting at your game last night. I have no favoritism for either team, but that was dreadful.

No. Just like last night, Turner intentionally pile-drove Ewers and Daniels into the un-giving ground, which enhanced the power of the tackle. He rode both of them into the ground. Call it clean all you want, but it’s not. He was penalized for Ewers and Daniels on both plays. The QB really has no way to defend themselves since they are off balance and in a very vulnerable position after letting go of the ball. [/quote]

They don’t focus on eating clock on the drive ending with missed FG after JD got hurt if LSU had instead scored on that drive making it a 7 point game.
I also don’t think their defense was as tired as ours was at that point.
