Arkansas won the 1964 championship, not Alabama. Alabama claims they win titles even when they lose two or more games in a season (1941 is an example). Even when they lose to the other team who beat them in the bowl game being played for the national title (1973 to Notre Dame is an example).

Alabama makes up ways to claim titles. They're very smart at this.

Like Georgia's 1942 title claim even though they finished second in the AP poll? Lol.

Crazy how dominant Alabama has been.

In as recently as 1983, they only had 6 Natties.

Now they have 87 or something like that.

Alabama made up the AP and coaches poll titles for 1964?

Here here! That was a particularly rewarding title since it was an undisputed, consensus AP and UPI title. Unlike that split title LSU had with USC a while back.

You're right about '41, wrong about the rest. And Bama got robbed in '66.

ETC: date of stolen NC. Eat shite, ND.

We have more of a claim to '41 than anyone. We just aren't beta and don't claim bullshite from war times

to be honest I don't understand why we never claimed 41 considering what every other school lays claim to. Look the season up and most would say we should

Provides definition of beta behavior.

Appears to lament not exemplifying beta definition. Kind of an odd turn of events.

It is beta to claim championships 80 years later but it is surprising that our administration never did considering every other school has. Make sense?

Theoretically speaking, isn't most everything associated with college football "beta" in Starkvegas?
