Baseball exists because of football, like all sports that lose money, which is every sport but football. Basketball at least pays for itself.

Sure, but where are all the stories about A&M wasting money on a baseball stadium. They were there when A&M paid off Jimbo. No one is writing negatively about A&M spending the money on baseball. For that matter, no one did when Mississippi State built the best baseball stadium in the country. Tennessee is about to spend Jimbo money on its baseball stadium. Where is all the negative press? Its almost like baseball is a sport deserving of the expenditure.

It’s almost fifth behind women’s basketball-softball and barely beating out women’s volleyball lol I predict this thread will get anchored because it once again reveals the obvious truth .

Jesus dude, are you not a little embarrassed to melt over LSU like this?

Not self-aware much are you?

Who cares? IF you like it, follow it. If you don't, don't.

Same thing with music or movies. There's huge artists I could care less about. But there's less popular artists I may drive hours to see.

OP is actually a Bama fan and
Bama fans are trying to convince themselves that baseball doesn't matter because it's growing in the SEC and they're getting left behind.

Here’s an idea, just don’t watch. People who do like college baseball could really give a rat’s arse how popular or unpopular it is. You either like it or you don’t.

In fact, the only thing I find interesting about your list is that regular women’s volleyball is more popular than beach volleyball.

We want to be left behind when a sport loses several million dollars that can go to getting better football recruits/players. Some LSU convince themselves that baseball is important because of their lack of football success against their biggest rival.

These sports that mean more……care to tell us how you’re affording to win a championship in them?

Too bad you didn't have the ability to explain why my comment was dumb. I'm sure it isn't because you are too dumb.

The record was about normal for LSU. For Alabama, it was the worst season in 17 years. We prioritize football, although not nearly enough. We should eliminate all men's sports other than football and basketball and keep the women's sports that cost the least to operate to comply with title 9.

Pretty old data you posted yet it still backs up that baseball is the 3rd largest sport behind football and basketball even then. It’s one of the major sports but you can pretend not to care about it if your team sucks at it. I don’t care about basketball in the slightest and don’t watch the NBA either but I don’t play ignorant to its popularity

Amazing how many threads there are about people saying how unpopular college baseball is. Who knew so many that don't care for it spend time to tell others that don't care about.

The people that post this stuff are usually the ones with terrible baseball programs. That must suck
