I don’t think that when the schedules were made anyone expected Duke to be as good as FSU and Miami.
Certainly Bama didn’t believe they were scheduling a big time OOC opponent.

It's not 2002, Miami had been dog shite for a decade. And FSU has been awful for 2 straight years.
Since 2014 Duke is 46-32 with 5 bowls and Miami is 49-29 with 6 bowls.
Your ACC schedule sucks and on top of it you play TWO 1AA teams. Your schedule sucks, this thread sucks, admit defeat.

Not true Bama fans have complained about our own schedule for two years. Much better next season.

College football should switch to a system like the pros. Play the conference schedule plus one OCG from each of the other four power conferences with these teams to rotate so you play every D-1 team every 10-12 years.

Alabama didn’t schedule the game with Duke, they committed to the game against a to be named ACC opponent. Pretty sure they only knew that Clemson, Miami, and maybe one more ACC team already had a game so it wouldn’t be them
