Oh I don't take exception at all.
But I reserve the right to keep receipts and hold them up when it happens again.

You could also argue that Kelly should've done better based on what he did at Notre Dame.
He should have. I don't think anyone would oppose that thinking.
If the worst coach in Ole Miss history was able to win a NC here, then the Best coach in Notre Dame history should have been able to as well.
Difference is that one had a desire to prove that everyone was wrong about him and the other didn't.

I do.
I think it's a variation on the Unstoppable Force fallacy that fans fall into.
If Gus Malzahn can win a title anyone can. If DeBoer can get to the champ game with Washington imagine what he'll do at Alabama! If Ed O can win, Lane Kiffin can get Ole Miss to the playoffs ...
etc etc
Nothing is guaranteed and teams ebb and flow all the time.

Pretty sure he moved to Baton Rouge because you can already get this service at every corner.
Weirdly enough there's enough STDs in the area that it's referred to as a "Purple and Gold" unironically.

True.
But LSU seems to be more stable than most historically. In our entire history there have only been two periods of 3 or more consecutive losing seasons: 1954-56 and 1989-94.
And to find another instance of back to back losing seasons, there's 98-99 and then you have to go all the way back to before the formation of the SEC.
I'm surprised by that fact, so I know that other fanbases will find it hard to believe. But I really think that everyone's view of LSU historically is clouded by the losing streak from 89-94.
Hence the joke "LSU football started in 2000".

Deboer has never had more than 4 losses in a season as a D1 coach.
Kiffin has had 6 seasons (out of 14) as a D1 coach with 4 or more losses. He has had 4 or more losses at least once at every stop along the way.
I love how you leave out the part where Deboer's first season with 4 losses in his entire coaching career was his first season at Alabama.
In both of his seasons coaching Alabama, he has accumulated 4 losses.
That's something that should worry y'all.
Another thing that should be of concern to the gumps is the fact that his Bama teams' Avg points per game decreased from 2024 to 2025 and the avg points allowed increased during that timeframe.
Slowly it trickles away, and soon enough what Saban built will join all other empires in the ashheap of history.

Maybe Pete Golding will come through one more time and get Alabama fans a win this weekend.
