Ah we moved onto the Heisman? Why not that one shining division championship?

Over the next three years, which team between LSU and Bama is mostly likely to have a 7-6 season?
LSU.
Since 1990 LSU has had 8 seasons with 6 or more losses, including 2 since 2021.
Deboer has never had more than 4 losses in a season as a D1 coach.
Kiffin has had 6 seasons (out of 14) as a D1 coach with 4 or more losses. He has had 4 or more losses at least once at every stop along the way.
Tennessee: 1 of 1 (7-6)
USC: 2 of 4 (8-5 and 7-6)
FAU: 1 of 3 (5-7)
Ole Miss: 2 of 6 (5-5 and 8-5)
It is very possible that in 3 years Kiffin will not be the coach at LSU and LSU will not be a member of the SEC.

Do you suppose that it's one of Lane's burner accounts ?

Ole Miss makes sense. Bama.....skurred.
Gumps are definitely whistling past the graveyard of their pending irrelevance.

He wants to be Pete Carroll sooo bad, but he has zero charisma. instead of fun playful and confident he comes across as awkward arrogant and weird.

Man, you got me. Napier brought y’all to the Gasparilla Bowl, I can’t compete with that and his 22-23 record.

Yeah so both walked away with jack squat.
Difference is we weren't guaranteeing titles by virtue of the Ed Orgeron Theory of Probability.

Well, there’s reason to believe it’s more the school than the coach when Les Miles and Ed fricking Orgeron are able to win titles here.

Jesus Christ, dude. You want to go off the most idiotic of your fan base and the things they say?
No place and no one can guarantee a title. Does that make you happy? Is that the gotcha you were fishing for?
Doesn’t change the fact that, given the option between LSU and Florida, coaches are choosing LSU for a reason.

Let's not pretend this wasn't the prevailing sentiment here around Brian Kelly and not some fringe subset.
Posted on 9/18/26 at 7:52 am to jonnyanony
The prevailing sentiment was that we had hired an adult to run the program after the nonsense Ed got into.
The rest of what you’re railing against is fan optimism after a new coach is hired. THE HORROR.

It's true that it's easier to paint a pretty picture through rose tinted glasses.
You and I both know the rampant annual predictions around how LSU owned the SEC now and how the rest of the league was scared.
If it rings a bell it's probably because it's been happening again.

You’re on a message board that is going to pull in the most avid fans and you’re taking exception to shite talking and false bravado?

The record of a previous coach of Ole Miss prior to becoming LSU's coach means shite.
You could also argue that Kelly should've done better based on what he did at Notre Dame. He didn't. This is foolish. Probably on both sides.
