Seemingly unstoppable.
40-1 at one point.
Finished 58-7.
Unstoppable.
Chuck Knoblauch.
Hitters everywhere.
Beat a really good Texas team 3 out of 4.
Won a conference crown.
Favorite to win the CWS.
Were awarded a Regional at home.
Swept through the first three games of the regional by an average score of 22-4.
Needed one more win to go to Omaha...
And . Then. It. Happened.
Thirty one years ago this month.
LSU DADDY came to town.
And just like that, it was over. Aggie went FULL AGGIE.
Not positive but I think LSU scored 25 runs per game to 3.5 per game for Aggie.
LSU started a 6 national championship run shortly thereafter.
Which Aggie watched on television.
"People were absolutely shattered, as we were, to lose that game," former A&M baseball coach Mark Johnson said Thursday on Aggie Nation. "That game was such a shocker and such a heartbreaker that it affected people. People were crushed."
Please join me in commemorating the 1989 baseball Aggies, best team in school history.

Mark Johnson could have assembled the '27 Yankees and still failed to win it all. That guy did less with more every year he was running the team. '89 still stings, though, as it seemed like an idiot proof roster. Apparently not.

What do the yell leaders have to do with baseball again?

Not a dang thing.
And they’re shown in 3 of the 4 photos above.
There’s a substantial group of lads on this website who’re crushing on the Yell Leaders.
There’s zero doubt about it.
Makes me smile.

That team was so good they finished 2nd in the polls even though they missed Omaha.

An LSU poster created this thread.
1. An Aggie poster EKG educated the LSU poster that Aggie Yell Leaders have nothing to do with Aggie Baseball.
2. I reminded the LSU poster that the 1989 LSU Baseball team had nothing to do with the Final Top 5 rankings.
At this point, it's probably best to just let this die and you LSU gays can go back to the other thread discussing Joe Burrows dick size and sucking on tiger dicks.

This is the most effective and devastating A&M trolling I’ve seen.

Greatest college baseball team of all time. Knoblauch at short, John Byington at 3rd, Terry Taylor dipping Kodiak over at 2nd.
Damn Ben McDonald.
We made Skip Bertman and the LSU baseball program that day.
