was the first time they had beaten an SEC team in a bowl game in a while
We’ve whooped Auburn and Alabama in bowl games recently. Dominated TN in a home and home as well.
Our problem is playoff games, not the SEC

Alabama, Auburn and Florida can defend themselves but something needs to be said about these bowl games.
When a team loses the SEC CG they have a horrible record in bowl games that follow. They have lost way more than they have won. The SEC CG takes a lot out of a team and if they lose that game they almost always come out flat and mentally not into the bowl game. Those are facts, not opinion.
When Georgia lost the 2018 SEC CG they played Texas in some bowl game. Within 5 minutes I knew that Georgia team was not into that game at all. They tried to pick it up in the second half but it was too little too late. They also had numerous opt-outs. Same thing last year with Florida. I did not watch a down of that game because I knew Florida was not going to be in that game mentally. They had numerous opt-outs to go along with it. I knew Oklahoma would win that game going away. In 2017 Auburn lost the SEC CG to Georgia and they played UCF in some bowl. I was pretty well convinced that Auburn was not going to show up for that game and they didn't. Then we had to hear for a year about UCF being the national champion, what bull.
I almost would like to see the SEC runner-up not even go to a bowl because their effort is generally going to be so spotty.

For a conference that is calling Texas and OU fans pussies y'all sure are really hung up on this chant.
Y'all consider it a sense of pride, the rest of college football uses it as a dig to mock mostly the coat riders who's identity is wrapped up in simply being affiliated with the conference. The same reason you say the chant was invented is the same reason it is used as shite talk to mock the conference by those in other conferences. At one point the SEC felt disrespected now its flipped and the rest of college football feels disrespected.
It's shite talk and you are putting way to much into it. I wish we could get back to the days of letting the boys play. Allow the horns down and allow other forms of celebrating and taunting, its what makes the game fun.
Georgia fans clowned Notre Dame in 2018 when Georgia got left out of the playoff and then proceeded to lose to a 9-4 Tom Herman coached Texas team in which they only mustered 284 yards of offense. Notre Dame got clowned by Georgia, Georgia got clowned by Texas, then Texas got clowned because Sam couldn't help himself with the "We're back"... Its shite talk, embrace it.

Pretty sure Texas knows how this works.
2109 SUGAR BOWL
When did aggy achieve the right to exercise this option based on the qualifiers?

Orrr…
The second best SEC team has not been better than OU.

You don't chant "SEC-SEC-SEC" at SEC games, idiots. You chant "SEC-SEC-SEC" at bowl games after you beat the living hell out of a team that the media could't bring themselves to stop slobbering over all while writing off the SEC team that had "closer" games.
I may get roasted by my OU bretheren but I can get behind that. Since OU and Texas have been accepted into the SEC I want the Big 10, ACC and PAC 12 to understand that they have NO CHANCE of being near as powerful no matter who they add to their conferences.

Kentucky guy telling football Blue Blood OU that they don't play anyone. As if Kentucky will be anything more than a notch in the win column for Oklahoma.
I didn't tell you that y'all don't play anyone....YOU just did that yourself.
I said y'all play in a crap conference.....aside from y'all and Okie St. who else is truly worth a crap in the big12????
And for your info, we play football blue bloods 3-4 times every season, it's called the SEC and UK ain't some pushover, y'all will find out whenever you play us that it'll be one of the most physical games y'all play.

Didn't realize UK fans rolled in here outside of hoops season.
Wasn't that long ago the B12 was a dominant conference in football and the Land Thieves did quite well. Those Thieves know how to play & have done it quite well for a long time.

those 7-8 starters didnt cause "all world QB" Trask to throw three picks in a row in the first quarter. That bowl game was over 10 minutes (game time) after it started.
So missing Kyle Pitts and Kedarious Toney had nothing to do with Trask throwing INTS?
ETA
I just looked it up. It wasn't 7 or 8 players...it was 16.
The Florida Gators have released their unavailable players list ahead of the Cotton Bowl against the Oklahoma Sooners. You can find the entire list below.
3 Marco Wilson
4 David Reese
6 Shawn Davis
7 Jeremiah Moon
8 Trevon Grimes
15 Jacob Copeland
17 Kahleil Jackson
21 Ethan Pouncey
22 Rashad Torrence II
51 Ventrell Miller
54 Lamar Goods
55 Hayden Knighton
66 Jaelin Humphries
84 Kyle Pitts
91 Marlon Dunlap
95 Lucas Alonso
SI
Missing 16 players including his top 3 receivers (Pitts, Toney and Grimes) probably had nothing to do with that.

I've given you guys a hard time on here, but there is no doubt the SEC just got a lot tougher when we added Oklahoma and Texas. Texas needs to step up their game, though. In all seriousness, right now I would rank Oklahoma #2 or three in the conference right now and Texas somewhere around 7 or 8.

You will have to provide a link to that little quote. 10 to 1 says you can't. You need to grow up and put some big boy britches on if something like that hurt your feelings. You'll find this board insufferable.

Never chanting that shite unless it's to point and laugh at someone.
Not gonna happen.

this conference pride brotherhood bullshite makes no sense
There might be conference pride but there sure isn't a brotherhood...at least not how you're suggesting it.
We fricking hate each other. We hope each other lose week in and week out.
There is SEC pride because we all know the SEC is the toughest conference in the country and has been for quite some time. The media would slob all over the "good" PAC and Big whatever teams and then they would get embarrassed by the SEC. It was more of a chant to the media dumbasses than the opposing team.

That's fine. It isn't required. But lately it has been SEC teams that have been pointing and laughing at Oklahoma while chanting it.
Well, I guess congrats on beating Florida when they have 17 players out of the game.

Tell us about the 1951 Sugar Bowl and the OU 34 game winning streak since you are dissing UK.

Yes we beat the 2021 Gators as Mullen said after the game. If that team was this years team why should I be at all concerned about Gator? Their future doesn’t look too bright

Fun to watch the Doormat 8 of the SEC puff their chests and talk big about how Texas will win nothing in the SEC. They apparently speak from experience.
The days of 8 game schedules and living off the accomplishments of 2 teams in the SEC are over. 9 game schedule will rectify the false rankings these doormats receive for beating no one.
The SEC has been just as top heavy as every other conference, the difference is the 8 game schedule and the ESPN propaganda machine
