NFLStephephen is gonna be here soon to dispute this.

He thinks LSU is the premier sports program in the country.

I'd rather have LSU continue to win national championships in major sports than finish higher in Learfield, but not actually win anything, like Alabama.

LSU only participates in 6 of the 11 listed sports, so kind of silly to worry about these rankings. It will be 7 of 12 when gymnastics is included.

The difference is Texas fields every nonsense club as a sports team. Tennessee is just good at winning

Not really.

The only sport Tenn did not get points in was Men T&F. Why IDK.

Otherwise Texas and Tenn participated in the same sports used in the calculation.

While teams can be playing all types of sports. They only count a certain number for each team. I guess when you think about playing the odds then that would probably be better for you but you can still only count so many sports

here are most of the Spring sports.. current rankings.. and last year's rankings for comparison.. I couldn't find some of the rankings for sports not listed like Rowing (which Texas appears to still be #1) and Beach Volleyball and Lacrosse.. most don't play Lacrosse, but Florida appears to..

but you are entitled to your opinion..

Football - Texas #3 Tennessee below that

Basketball - Tennessee above Texas.. not looking it up, you win

Baseball - You were champs, but you have to repeat to get that score again. Texas has a lot of points to gain there since we didn't make it out of regionals last year.

Softball - Currently #1 but OU will probably win again.. Texas likely finishes in the Top 8 though.. Perhaps Tennessee does too.. Super Regionals will probably be tough for all of us, so who knows..

Women's Hoops - Texas Final 4, Tennessee not Final 4

You don't want Texas smoke.. not right now at least. Texas is stupid good lately.

Texas fields the exact same sports as Tennessee plus Beach Volleyball.

I went back the last 5 years and Texas has scored zero points in beach volleyball.

Personally, I don't know why every school that fields a volleyball team doesn't also have a beach volleyball team. Especially in the South.
