So Alabama is getting the best deal on national championships and Texas A&M is getting the worse?
Graduates of the school might’ve changed “worse” to “worst,” but congrats on representing the 85%.

And now for the rest of the story...
LOL at aggy "profit"... They actually ran a deficit.
Keep that whore money rolling in for aggy, SEC... They need it.

While the report shows Texas A&M with about $147 million in operating expenses for 2017 — an apparent annual surplus of more than $65 million — it also shows the school with just under $67 million in athletics-related capital expenditures during the year. When schools borrow money to build or refurbish athletics facilities, the NCAA currently requires them to count annual debt service payments — the amount of principal and interest they repay in a given year — as an operational expense. Cash spending on facilities is supposed to be counted, and reported, separately from annual operating expenses.
As a result, contributions to Texas A&M’s athletics program that were made in 2017 and spent on facilities projects that year are being reported as operating revenue while most of the corresponding spending on those projects is not being reported as an annual operating expense.
Texas A&M athletics department’s chief financial officer, Jeff Toole, told USA TODAY Sports that when the facilities-related contributions are removed from consideration for 2017, “we are basically break-even, maybe a little less than break-even, for the year.”

You people were literally begging for LSU to do this.
Uh... not for that kind of money. He is seriously not worth that kind of money. Especially after last years abysmal performance.
They could have hired two better coaches for what they are paying Jimbo.

Alabama $174,307,419
Remember when everyone freaked out that Bama was paying Saban $4MM a year for eight years? Such a misguided approach to bettering higher education.
Best investment Bama ever made. Ever.

My take on this.
All Sports. Revenue. Net
Florida. 1. 4. 3.
Georgia. 2. 3. 2.
Texas A&M. 3. 1. 1.
Arkansas. 4. 10. 4.
USC. 5. 8. 11.
Auburn. 6. 6. 7.
Tennessee. 7. 7. 9.
Kentucky. 8. 9. 12.
Alabama. 9. 2. 6.
LSU. 10. 5. 5.
Vandy. 11. ? ?
Miss. 12. 11. 10.
Miss St. 13. 12. 8.
Missouri. 14. 13. 13.
Some schools get more return on investment than others.
To my surprise Arkansas, USC seem to have great numbers.
On the other side Alabama, LSU are getting poor returns.

Why is Mizzou allowed to even exist? That shitpile should’ve been defunded and bulldozed after the poop swastika/birthing of cuck culture/fascist coup that occurred. Disgraceful

We agree. Fully. We'd pay them to leave. After all, the rest of us can afford it and they sure could use the $$.

They bring in the money but can't show much for it. They brought in the 2nd most, netted the 6th, and placed 9th in allsports ranking.
To me that's not good. Arkansas is ranked 10th in revenue, 4th in net, and 4th in allsports. Less money but better production.

Alabama is spending left and right on facilities right now. We have netted very high in years past.

You're right, I could care less. We seem to be doing just fine, new construction on our football stadium, one of the nicer basketball arenas in the SEC, top notch wrestling, and competitive in the sports that count. For someone that came from an expansion school, you sure are careless about throwing someone else out of a conference that you were fortunate enough to be invited to. And spare me the "we aren't southern" diatribe. It's old stale news and obviously played no part in our invite.
